work together, everyone benefits: students tend to
earn higher grades, perform better on tests, attend
school more regularly, have better behavior, and
show more positive attitudes toward themselves and
toward school.

Students must have their phones upside down
(screen down) on their table before class starts if it is
even out at all.
I will go to BALD certification in November.

7. Course Content
 A brief review will be done first.
Content will include new and old
grammar along with essential
vocabulary. Hispanic culture will be
explored through readings, internet,
cultural projects, field trip and foods.
 Materials:
 Notebook: A 3-ring binder, plenty of paper and dividers,
pens or pencils, usb is helpful, markers or colored pencils,
highlighters, sticky notes
 Welcomed Donation:
 Viva paper towels
 Bandaids
 Reams of colored paper

9. What are Honor’s Classes?
Fostering independent learning
More rigorous and in depth learning
Implementation of differentiation strategies at
different levels of complexity and with different
amounts of teacher support.
Communicative activities focus on the same topics as
in on-level Spanish class, but completion requires
different levels of sophistication and a higher and
more challenging level of linguistic performance and
competence.

10. What the flip is a flipped classroom?
The flipped classroom constitutes a role change for
instructors who give up their front-of-the-class
position in favor of a more collaborative and
cooperative contribution to the teaching process.
There is also a change in the role of students who are
used to being passive participants in the education
process, where instruction is served to them. The
flipped model puts more of the responsibility for
learning on the shoulders of students and also
provides differentiation for those students.-Bobby Blount

14. CLASS RULES
1. Be on time every day. School policy on attendance and
tardiness will be enforced.
2. Come to class prepared: homework, writing utensil,
notebook, etc.
3. Participate.
4. Sit in the assigned seat daily.
5. Request extra help –DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST
MINUTE!
6. Treat others with respect and consideration . Students
have to be responsible for their own behavior and actions.

 I will research vocabulary acquisition as it relates to
technology.
 I will use Spanish 4 Honors classes.
