2. “Welcome class.” It is the first day of class and Zoey is all alone. She has not made any friends yet. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1

3. As class gets started she notices that everyone is alone. Zoey walks over to someone else and introduces herself. “I’m Zoey,” and they say, “I’m Gracie!” Now they are not alone! 1 1 1+1=2 1 1 1 1 1

4. Zoey and Gracie quickly make friends and decide to play together at recess. During recess they make a new friend named Eddison. 1 2+1=3 1 1 1 1 1 1

5. As the days fly by Zoey, Gracie and Eddison are inseparable. They haven’t made any new friends though because they are all very shy! 1 1 1 1 1 3 1 1

6. They began to notice other classmates were making friends and weren’t alone anymore either. 1 1 1 2 1 3 1

7. As they near the holidays they begin to make more friends. Their new friends are Madeline and Aiden. 1 3+2=5 1 1 1 1

8. After their holiday break Zoey, Gracie, Eddison, Madeline and Aiden decide they need to make more friends. The newest addition is Noah! 1 1 5+1=6 1 1

9. In the middle of the year Eddison moved away and they all lost their friend. 1 1 6-1=5 1 1

10. One day they all showed up for class and they learned they had a new classmate and quickly made friends. Their new friend’s name was Alexia. 1 1 5+1=6 1 1

11. As the year went on, they made even more friends. These included Jessica and Matt. 1 6+2=8 1

12. Then they became friends with Jacob and Nikki who had been alone the whole year! 8+2=10

13. Finally all ten students in the class were friends and wanted to be friends forever. 10

14. And they were. They went through school together, sat together at lunch, and played games together. 10

15. They graduated high school together… 10

16. And they went off to college together… 10

17. They were all truly friends forever!
