The role of the teacher in the 21st century education consists of the teacher demonstrating leadership

My Teaching Experience Essay
When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world
of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few
observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many

could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be

My Dream As A Teacher
My dream is to become a Teacher so that I can encourage and influence young children to reach
their full potential no matter what circumstances they come from. When I started first grade my
family had just moved to Conroe Texas, so I started out with no friends coming to a new city and
new school. Thankfully I got the best teacher in the whole first grade at Geisinger Elementary.
Her name is Mrs. Thompson. She was the teacher that always greeted us at the door and when we
came into her classroom it felt like home. I was always comfortable in her classroom by the way
it was decorated and the way she made me feel. She always had something nice to say and never
put any of the students in the class down! She loves her students like her own. The next year she
moved to second grade and I got her as a teacher again. I was so thankful to have such a wonderful
first and second grade teacher and her mannerisms throughout those two years is what sparked my
interest in being that teacher, that inspires her students and makes them feel comfortable in the
classroom. The purpose of education to me is so that we are all knowledgeable in what we are doing
and saying. If everyone went around and talked about something without knowing true facts or
history we would be in trouble! The reason we learn about history is because it repeats itself. We
learn it so that we could stop the repeating factors before they happen!

As an educator you get faced with the task everyday whether or not it is your responsibility to
teach moral values and to develop good character traits in students in your classroom. What people
do not realize is that teaching is much more than just the information in the textbooks and for that
reason, I do believe that it is the educator's job to teach moral values and to develop good character
traits in students. As an educator, you have to be able to teach the whole student, you have to be
willing to teach them life lessons, and not just educate the student based on the standards of the

During my high school years, there were several teachers that I encountered. However, there was

were only remembered for his size, for he was an enormous man. His name is Anthony Sweeney

such name but all students referred to him in such manner. He was six feet five inches tall and
towered over us like a giant and he weighed over three hundred pounds. I never discovered his
exact age, but, he must have been no more than forty, even though his hair had turned grey
relatively early on, and there was a smooth shiny bald patch on the crown of his head. But, it is not
just for his size that I remembered him. In fact, one of the things with I remembered distinctively
was his sudden change in temper. One moment he would be very jovial and pleasant to speak to in
class, and the next he would shout violently at some timid student who was merely looking through
the window or he would become very mean and impatient with his students. For these reason, he
became my absolute worst teacher.

As I begin my teaching career and the years prior to it, many ideas and decisions will take place.
Being that I plan to teach elementary school and deal with small children, I plan to be excessive on
classroom accessories. Children have a limited attention span and a dull, plain room would not be
appealing to them. The adjustment of leaving "mommy" will be hard enough for them anyway. I
hope to make the environment comforting and welcoming for them. Bright colored bulletin boards

circle. From experience, I've found that children feel more at ease and apt to speak up when seated

My Dream As A Teacher
From a young age I have always wanted to teach and inspire others to learn. This was heavily
influenced by my upbringing as my dad has always taught me that you can never have too much
information and any new skill you learn is a new skill you can use. I enjoy sharing my knowledge
and learning from others. For me personally I believe that teaching is such a valuable career choice
as the devotion and passion required from teachers is what is needed to be able to deliver the best
education for the students.
I would love to teach young adults and inspire them to want to learn and find out new information

Unconsciously or not, they consistently reinforce and reward more 'feminine' behavior. Although
it may be true that boys are more active than girls, but to say that they are treated differently is to
be overly generalizing the situation. A teacher is supposed to be able to handle different types of
children in the classroom, and cater to their activeness or passiveness in a class. For example, a
teacher would try to involve a quiet and shy student as often as possible. The same goes for an
active child; the teacher should be able to find activities for that child which would not only educate
them, but also keep them busy.
Thomas provides various arguments as to how boys and girls are different; therefore they are
treated differently in a classroom. It cannot be argued that boys and girls are different, especially at
such a young age, but to say that teachers specifically do treat boys in a rougher manner would be
going too far. Thomas introduces the idea that society instills ideas of prejudice towards women in
young boys, so that when they do go into a classroom governed by a female teacher, they are
predisposed to be defiant and unruly. In my opinion, it is unfair to judge teachers based on the
performance of their students on various tests. Thomas's article introduces the idea that as the
number of female teachers is increasing, the performance of boys in school is declining. One much

Why am I a teacher? When I was a child I always had to pretend play school with my friends and I
always had to be the teacher. My mom was a preschool teacher at the local day care center and I
grew up seeing her cut bulletin boards and plan lessons. My best friend in middle school 's mom
was also a teacher. I never wanted to be anything else and didn 't really have a back up plan if this
teaching thing didn 't work out. In this paper I will take you on a journey through my educational
years in elementary school and middle school, my time high school, delve into my time in
college and then into my career as a teacher. When I was a child I had many happy memories. I
was born and raised in Lowell, Michigan. A small, rural town with very little diversity. I attended
schools in the Lowell Area School District from kindergarten through 12th grade. As I sit and reflect
on my elementary school years, I have many happy memories. I had positive relationships with
many of my teachers; especially in my K–4 years. Mrs. Pomper always made me feel welcomed and
always greet me with a smile. Mrs. Sterly taught me to read and Mrs. Ham always had confidence in
me. These are three of my teachers in my early years I will never forget. My grades were good and I
was motivated to try my best in everything I did in school; even if it was playing soccer and
volleyball which were definitely not in my skills set. My view of school was positive, I loved going.

My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay
My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love
children. I love the look that comes across their faces when they finally grasp a concept after they
have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I
want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of
learning in me. There is no better profession than teaching for those who want to learn. One is
learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is
