Essay on Writing Experience
My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the
basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things
like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the
future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers,
documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I
predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in
kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with
no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me...show more content...
I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic
and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I
need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My
goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or
have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge
to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays,
and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in
my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to
do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex
education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will
have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I
can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so
that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am
talking about by my writing skills when doing shift changes. I will have to be very precise so that
other nurses will not

Experience Of Writing
Writing, it has it's good, and it's bad. Regardless of who you are however, you have had an
experience with it. College, High School, Middle School, etc. We all have written something at
some point in our lives. Personally I haven't been exposed to massive amounts of writing outside
of school although, I do enjoy writing songs. There's many different types from Novels, Poetry,
Music, all the way to texting. Most people I feel enjoy writing and as do I. I enjoy writing for a few
reasons,One. It allows me to relieve stress or anything on my mind and keep sane. I have a
journal to keep track of days for later memories and I add to it every day. I have a few experiences
worth sharing as well. One of my first experiences seriously writing is when, I was in Highschool,
and had to write a speech. I spent four days writing this speech. Although it wasn't what you would
call outstandingly fun. The speech was for my graduation on the last day of school BSEP. BSEP
was a project all seniors had to complete and pass to graduate. I have been out of school for two
years since that experience....show more content...
I began writing songs about a year ago. The drive really came out of nowhere I wasn't in a very
good place emotionally. Since I was feeling kind of down I began to write songs mostly R&B and
as well as Hip Hop. Writing these however doesn't require much punctuation. I write a lot of
songs, and I have compiled about 30 total in the past year. I get a lot of good feedback from the
people who have heard them but I am very skittish about singing in front of people. I mostly do it
for self satisfaction in my own head it helps me relax. I'm also building a skill that might one day
turn out to become something

Essay on Original Writing: Short Story
Original Writing: Short Story
It was the night of the year that few children can sleep. The night when everyone hopes that snow
will fall and they will wake up to a garden of glistening diamonds grown by the morning sun. It was
Christmas Eve.
As many had hoped, snow was falling. It slowly covered the houses and streets in a thick blanket.
The moon shone her silver light down on the white world, and but for one, there was nobody to
view the kind of beauty that things such as love and dreams are made of. The only one there to see
the spectacle was a small boy of five, or six years.
This little boy possessed a beauty not of this earth, a beauty that surpassed even all that surrounded
him. His...show more content...
On the night that every other child wished for toys, and puppies, this little boy wished for love. And
nothing more.
Finally, the little boy came to a stop, not wanting to ever take another step again. He raised his
downcast eyes, and in front of him stood a church. He remembered that he had been to church
before, and the building that loomed above him stirred vague memories. The boy made himself
stumble a few more steps, and pressed his face to the glass door he had arrived at. He looked in, and
saw the church was lit up inside. There was light coming from behind a man on a big cross, and two
huge Christmas trees shone in heavenly splendor. Looking at the man on the cross, he had a faint
recollection. He half–remembered, a long time ago, that someone reading from a big book had said
that the man on the cross would come on Christmas. That he came every Christmas.
The little boy supposed that if anyone would help him, it would be the man inside. He loved
everyone. So, the little boy laid down in front of the church, and as he slipped off into sleep, a
glimmer of hope, that the man would come and save him from the cold and loneliness, warmed his
heart. The snow continued to fall, and bells jingled far in the distance. Presents were laid under
trees, and visions of sugar plums danced in most children's heads. But not the little boy who slept on
the church steps under the winter

Essay about Scuba Diving
Scuba diving is a sport in which you can lose yourself to the beauty of the underwater world and
escape gravity for a short time. You can wander among kelp forests or swim with sleek noble
sharks. You can find a fortune in Spanish ducats or lose yourself in the beauty of the underwater
realm. Some may say though that diving is an extreme sport and that it is too risky for anyone, it's
just for the wild hooligans. Scuba Diving is a safe and enjoyable hobby despite the small risk
involved. Haven't you ever wondered what it was like to swim with the fish? Or see why all of those
people would want to were all that funny looking gear and go under the water?

time is spent in a swimming pool where the students can master the necessary skills for diving
without having the pressure and risk of being in the open water.
Near the end of the class the students begin to dive in the open water with the instructor so

Essay about the human brain
In this paper one will learn the different parts of the brain and their functions. Although the brain isn't
the largest organ of the human body it is the most complex and controlling organ. It is amazing how
complicated the brain is. The brain controls every action within and out of your body. The brain has
main areas that contain different areas that have specific functions. For instance the basal ganglia
holds the lentiform and the caudate.
The brain isn't just "THE BRAIN" it is actually a group of many parts. They help to inform the brain
on the things going on with the human body. The brain is split in to two main parts, the left and the
right hemisphere. The left hemisphere has about the same areas as the right hemisphere. The only

The corpus callosum is a bundle of nerves that connects the two hemispheres. The area that passes
and processes information concerning touch, pain, temperature, and pressure on skin is the
thalamus. The limbic system controls your behavior and emotions. It is involved in emotions such
as fear, rage, pleasure, and sorrow. In the prefrontal area of the frontal lobe emotional traits are
controlled. In the temporal lobe expressed behavior is controlled. The parietal lobe discriminates
sensory. The occipital lobe is where visual interpretation takes place. Pons is a crossroad for nerves
going up to the cortex, to the cerebellum and then down the spinal cord. The cortex is the outer gray
area where thinking takes place. The olfactory cortex receives senses from the nose that it then sorts
out. The area that identifies what we see by working out movements, colors, and shapes is the visual
cortex. The area that receives taste senses is called gustatory cortex. The area responsible for
analyzing data, performing memory functions, learning new information, forming thoughts, and
making decisions is the cerebral cortex. The motor cortex is involved in muscle movement. The
cerebellum is vital when carrying out complicated, skilled movements. It is much like a mini brain.
If before you read this paper you thought the brain was a "one man machine" I'm sure your opinion
has changed after reading his paper. It is amazing how god has created the brain to have so many

Information and communications technology (ICT)?
To illustrate the importance of Information and Communications technology (ICT) for the smooth
running of a multi–site business.
Information and communications technology is a system used to control, manage, process and
create information through telecommunications technology and computers. (Otherwise known as
ICT). Although information and communications technology describes a large range of systems there
are still some underlining common features.
An information system incorporates a group of people, equipment and procedures. It is there to
collect, record, process, store, retrieve and present information.

– Commerce opportunities: ICT can improve a company's internal and external operations.
Internally, a company can use ICT to streamline, integrate and synchronise key operating processes,
(such as procurement, order fulfilment and customer service). Then it can extend these ICT enabled
processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of supply and distribution channels.
– Content opportunities: Benefits are achieved when a company harnesses information and
knowledge located inside and outside the company to improve the performance of individuals and
groups as they make decisions and take actions. The individuals and groups in question may belong
to the same organisation or they may be customers, suppliers and business partners working with
company employees to achieve common goals. As well as making people work "smarter",
information and knowledge can be used to create new products and services or to add value to
existing ones, thus improving a company's competitive position.
– Community Opportunities: Benefits can also be achieved when a company uses networked
technologies to increase the commitment and loyalty of internal and external communities. Inside
the company, e–mail, groupware and intranets can be used to link employees around the world to
information resources, internal work

Essay on Lifelong Learning
Lifelong learning
Lifelong learning is the continuous building of skills and knowledge throughout the life of an
individual. The first characteristic of lifelong learning is that it encompasses both formal and
non–formal/informal types of education and training. Formal learning includes the hierarchically
structured school system that runs from primary school through the university and organized
school–like programs created in business for technical and professional training. Whereas informal
learning describes a lifelong process whereby individuals acquire attitudes, values, skills and
knowledge from daily experience and the educational influences and resources in his or her
environment, from family and neighbors, from work and play,...show more content...
The computer industry is a growing field that will never stay the same as it was when it started.
We will always need additional learning to be able to keep our jobs or move up on the corporate
ladder. We can learn about these changes by going back to school, going to workshops, or on the
job training if it is available. These opportunities are tools that will help you learn more about your
job. The skills that you learn at one job will help you advance in that position or get you another
position with that company or another company. For example,
If you we are tired of being at that same died end job make that change and go back to school to get
that additional education to pursue your dream that you have. Working a job and having a career
are two different things. After spend some years in the work force I decided to further my
education. I wanted a career that I can advance in and learn more.
The process of designing a lifelong learning plan begins with putting it in writing. This plan,
sometimes called a learning contract, must be a dynamic process intended to provide structure in an
unstructured environment – known as everyday life.
Lifelong learning exists within this world, allowing learners the freedom to enroll in formal
continuing education programs or self–directed learning such as learning how to garden or play an
instrument, as examples. A personal learning plan or learning contract should focus on the following

Thesis: In a year full of new lessons and different visions of the world; a quite influential day
came when I entered to the realization I was no longer the little girl I portrayed to be in my head.
I saw my cousin view the streets I grew up on as I once viewed. I saw the twinkle in her eyes that
reflected innocence. Innocence that I longed to regain, innocence that allowed me to feel pure
happiness without knowing the emotions of dull sorrow. As I watched my cousin in her blooming

Descriptive Essay About Autumn
Misty dew covers the entire surface of the field. The yellowing corn stalks stand erect and proud
until my grandpas tractor comes to end their growth. Autumn slowly weaves its way in and leaves
a stain of brilliant color in its wake. Not everyone enjoys such colors, but when you take a second
to step outside your doorstep, and look at all the wonders that surround you, you'd be surprised at
how marvelous the world can truly be. To me, Autumn is a time for relishing in the colors. Soaking
in the oranges and reds while sitting by a warm fire. It's a time for remembering that everything
does end, but it does not have to end in the dreadful way we think it will. Autumn is a time for the
closeness of others to keep out the chill of the morning and the starry–eyed darkness of the night.
The colors are astonishing. No longer does green dwell the trees. It seems the entire world is on
fire. The bright yellow has mingled with the orange to create small flames, flickering from the
branches of trees. They fall to the ground and ignite the earth. It has been said before that fire is
pure and cleans everything it touches. It takes something broken and dead and gives it one last
spurt of beauty. One last goodbye before it leaves forever. The bed of the fire is a deep blue, so
searing it burns any who come near. The heat makes my eyes water and stings my uncovered face.
I want to get as close as possible. To see the embers be swept with the glorious reds and royal blues.
The heat is

Descriptive Essay About Spring
Spring is such a wonderful and joyful season. The air begins to warm, and the temperature rises
slowly. Not only that, but the days seem to be getting longer as well. As the snow begins to melt in
northern America, the lovely flowers begin to bud and the flies begin to come out. The tree buds
starts greening and preparing itself to grow. The air smells different as opposed to winter, it smells
fresh and alive. Spring wraps up winter, and leads on to the hot and humid season called summer.
Spring is the season that prepares itself for the next season, as forestry is starting to grow and
thrive. The animal kingdom also uses spring to mate. The bears that were hibernating no longer have
to hibernate. The smell of freshly cut grass also goes through the warm spring air.
The grouchy people of winter also start to become happy again. Most people dislike winter as it
cold and the driving condition are not great. However in spring, everything is having life, or
coming back to life; as well as their spirits. Spring is finally the time where people can finally eat
outside, open up the window to let fresh air in. Nothing is better than seeing the neon green trees
and grass shining through the low amounts of snow that might still be left behind by Mother Nature.
The farming trade also begins in spring; the farmers begin to plant their vegetables so they can
harvest them when the time is right. Spring also has a very nice holiday, Easter. Families gather at
each other's houses and

The company's creams inventory remains constant because it does not follow a trend in
innovation and changes so often as the other products. The surplus in inventory is a big
disadvantage since; last year's products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of
storage. For all these reasons their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that
Luxor Cosmetics keeps increasing their bank loans, creating more debt, making it harder to pay out
as 2011. In this particular situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales
(productions) or increase its actual sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and
research and development of its products in the markets. This way their inventory would decrease
and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins, 2009)
Further, through effective marketing strategy Luxor

writing became a little trickier because I had to understand what it was I needed to write about
and the style in which I need to write it in. There are nine essay writing methods which I learned

narration, process, division/classification, definition, and argument. The only problems I
encountered when trying to write the essays that were assigned to me by the instructor was
finding suitable subject matter to write about. Once I found my topics for my essay, everything
else became easier. I would first produce a rough draft and then the students, the instructor, and
myself would go over them in class and decided if what I was writing was in its best form. Most
of my rough drafts needed improvement, but if it didn't it wouldn't be a rough draft, so it was
understood. My final drafts were very satisfying for me as well as the grades I received on them.
For my exemplification essay I chose to write about the reasons why condoms

Reflection Of A Short Story
I enjoy writing short stories because the activity allows me to express my creativity and speak my
mind. However, I often have trouble finishing compositions, and my English professors will often
tell me I need to improve my work. Recently, I wrote a short story titled "Unexpected" for a
fiction–writing class and made countless changes to the tale based on several guidelines. The
revisions to "Unexpected" have benefited my story, but I could have done more to improve it. My
original story served as an impromptu launching pad for the revisions, which expanded my work
into a more stable, detailed narrative. However, I probably should have asked for help from tutors
and my fiction professor, Jackie because they understand short stories...show more content...
But three methods of revisions helped me better understand the changes I made to my narrative.
First, I printed my original work and jotted down revisions based on 25 questions from a book I
study in fiction class, What If? Writing Exercises for Fiction Writers. These notes helped me add a
wide variety of details to my story. Next, I typed my new story and used a grammar check website
called PaperRater to improve the style of my tale. This aspect includes, of course, grammar, but
also transitional phrases (I am not sure if those are important in a short story) as well as
vocabulary. And eventually, I tweaked my composition after carefully reading my story to myself.
I learned that reading your own work aloud helps you further comprehend any revisions you should
make. As a result of following these revision guidelines, I improved my story dramatically; it more
than tripled the word count of my story to about one thousand words. Furthermore, I usually only
use PaperRater for revising fiction and nonfiction works I write for English classes. My new
technique of modifying my narratives have truly expanded my stories as well as my imagination.
But despite these accomplishments, I could have further improved my story. When I wrote a poetry
explication essay for nonfiction writing class, I did not just turn to PaperRater. I asked my
professor, Ben, for help writing the essay during his office hours. I wish I could have done

My Writing Experience
Reading and writing has always created a sense of understanding for me in my art. Reading in the
literal sense is a way that we understand text or symbols in our minds which in turn create meaning.
Writing also in a literal sense is our way of communicating our knowledge and emotions to others
through symbols in text. The human experience for all people includes communication and through
reading and writing this experience is created. From the beginning of this course, my only prior
experience with reading and writing were high school level course over literature and reading. I had
an average level of rhetoric, reading, writing and language overall however, understanding the
significance of these subjects was never put forth in such a way until I took this course. I discovered

extremely difficult for myself. Fluidity was a challenge throughout my time in this course, but is
was also something that created a better voice in my writing. The understanding of reading and

overall. Writing motivates me and inspires me in my own work to create stories and share with
others what I feel is memorable and should be shared. Although it may never be something perfect,

CT interpret effective leadership as affected by situational variables, including the followers, work

proposal of predominance and interaction between relationship or taskoriented leadership styles, as

Descriptive Essay On An Island
The first thing that hit me was the sound. The sounds of birds, the sound of the sea crawling onto
the sand. I felt million grains of sand underneath my feet and the cool breeze against my face.
Moreover, the tantalizing scent of the washed–up waves, coconut, and pineapple are all mixed into
one. As I opened my eyes, I was amazed by how easily fantasy and reality intertwined at that
moment. It was like continuing a dream after waking up. So I dragged myself up and turn my
head to the east. While the sky in the opposite direction was still dark, the dawn on the east side
already broke. A mixture of yellow and orange on the horizon beneath a dark neon blue ocean of
night had begun to peek out. As the sun continuously rose, all of the purple and deep blue faded
away, and the sun took its mighty position at the top of the sky, shining so very blindingly beautiful.
After I watched the sunrise, my mood lifted. Notwithstanding, I still feel threatened for I got
trapped on an island. I stood there for a moment and tried to figure out how I got to this island. A
series of quick flashback of a shipwreck, and a big storm. Consequently, I have a severe headache, so
I decided to sit down in the sand. While sitting down, I observe the island and find that I was
surrounded by water and some other islands. The water around the island was as clear as crystal,
to the point I can see the depths of the sea. Again, I dragged myself up and turn to the back; it
seemed like a tropical paradise. There were multitudes of greenery, lush foliage that looked like they
were painted on.
I walk deeper into the island. Nowhere, the sound of the birds started to raise up. It brought
freedom and happiness to the mind. Beautiful flowers in reds, yellows, purples, and pinks lounged
happily along the banks of small streams. Following the streams, it allowed me to hear the playful
sound of the water lapping on the rocks, and the sound of leaves rustling when the wind blew
gently, bringing with it a feeling of peace and tranquility. Continuing through the trees, my stomach
started growling like a monster who is ready to eat its prey. Accordingly, the smell of fruits
suddenly arises on my left side so I made my way toward the fruity smell,

War Story- Personal Narrative Essay
War Story– Personal Narrative Finally we got a well deserved break from what seemed like our
endless marching. As we stopped pain shot up my left leg like a bullet. I looked automatically to
my right. Nobody was there. My best friend Simon would usually stand there, as he had in the war
before, I could imagine the grin on his face. The images of all those years ago started to play in my
mind...
It began when we were assembled in the safety of the trench. Then we heard those dreaded words
that can make a man throw up with fear for his life.
"Go! Over the top men, go!"
I froze, not breathing, not even blinking I was paralysed, standing there motionless, my legs as solid
as...show more content...
Then, turning my head again I saw Simon dive to my aid. He did not utter a single word but just
gave a faint grin then promptly looked down at my leg and set to work. He freed me and with a little
help I made it to the safety of the next shell hole. I owed him my life.
Simon refused to stop. He climbed up again to help the others. I tried to tug him back but my
efforts were worthless; seen as I was wounded. Gun shots and shell fire pounded my ears like a
right hand from a heavy weight boxer. I will never forget the next sound I heard. I knew it was the
end so I looked up at the morning sun and prayed towards the heavens. I could hear the screams
penetrating throughout my mind.
Now I'm standing here about to march on to fight in another war, fighting for my dear friend.
When will man kind learn? Now, however, I fear this time I might not be so lucky, especially now,
without Simon, who I did not even get a chance to thank for saving my life. Now I try to put the
thoughts out of my mind with a tear in my eye turning away from the other soldiers so they cannot
see.
I can see a large church in front of me and can hear the sounds of children playing. I begin to think
about the contrast. The young, blameless children playing happily with each other only a short
distance away from where us, the adults are contemplating what lies ahead hideously slaughtering the

The End of the Road
It all started to go downhill when my boyfriend started speaking to another girl behind my back,
sending text messages and meeting up with her for a 'chat' as he used to say. I never believed
anything he said. Neither did my friends or family. Why should we have? Before we got together
he was known as a player and someone who continuously flirted with girls even if he had a
girlfriend, but after we got together he toned it down and I thought he had changed. I'm fed up with
the way he is treating me, I know I deserve better. How did I know that the day I decided to confront
him was the day I would never see him again?
I decided to go to Daniel's the morning after I had found out about the text...show more content...
And that's when she told me. ''It's Daniel'' she said. ''He's been in an accident'' I fell to the floor, I
hadn't spoken to him, I've been ignoring him, what have I done?!
''Is he hurt? What kind of accident?'' I asked her. She looked up at me through the tears in her eyes
and I knew just from the look she gave me that it was more than a broken bone.
He was dead.
After Daniel's death I didn't leave my room for about a week, I didn't want to face the world, I
didn't want to talk to anyone, I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts. But all I could think about
was 'what if?' What if I hadn't ignored him? What if we weren't arguing, would he have been at mine
that night?
I went on my laptop about a week after, I didn't look at my phone or my laptop because I didn't
want any sympathy comments as I knew it would only make me feel worse, but that night I just
wanted to see what people had put on his Facebook wall, the moment I logged onto my account, I
had thousands of notifications. I switched my laptop straight off; I knew I shouldn't have gone on in
the first place.
The next day was his funeral, I didn't think I would be able to cope, but I knew I would have lots of
people there to support me, but I knew it would be harder for his family than it would be for

Essay on Short Stories and Poetry
Short Stories and Poetry There are many different forms of writing that all fall under the name
literature. These different ways to create literature are often categorized into specific genres. Some
of the genres have more in common with each other than others. Two genres, the short story and the
poem, share many similar aspects. Both the short story and the poem can successfully send
powerful messages or tell complex stories in a very short amount of words. Both genres contain
carefully manipulated language that quickly yet effectively establishes the meaning of the short
story or poem. Point of view is a prominent aspect in controlling short stories and poetry. The works
are thus often told in the first...show more content...
Short literary works are confined to the boundaries on length according to their specific genre; they
don't have time for lengthy or slow introductions.
William Faulkner's "A Rose of Emily" (p. 443) begins immediately with a startling statement
about Miss Emily's death. Faulkner creates a first sentence that describes how "our whole town
went to her funeral" (1), using of course the first person form of "we" (28, 43, 46, etc...) The
narrator is most likely one of the townspeople who represents the point of view of the entire town.
Through the use of plural first person narration, the author makes the reader feel as if though they
are part of the story, grasping his or her interest more quickly. Faulkner employs this first person
narration in the first sentence of his story, thus immediately capturing the reader's attention. The
reader's engagement in the story also adds to its emotionality. By feeling as though he or she is a
part of the story, the reader often feels sadness, joy and other emotions with the characters of the
story. When the townspeople were "surprised when Homer Barron...was gone" (46), the use of
"we" (46) forces the reader to feel the same confusion and shock that the townspeople do. The first
person helps to enrich the variability and appeal of the short story.
This use of first person to strengthen the feeling of the

Short Essay Writing

  • 1. Essay on Writing Experience My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers, documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me...show more content... I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays, and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am talking about by my writing skills when doing shift changes. I will have to be very precise so that other nurses will not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Experience Of Writing Writing, it has it's good, and it's bad. Regardless of who you are however, you have had an experience with it. College, High School, Middle School, etc. We all have written something at some point in our lives. Personally I haven't been exposed to massive amounts of writing outside of school although, I do enjoy writing songs. There's many different types from Novels, Poetry, Music, all the way to texting. Most people I feel enjoy writing and as do I. I enjoy writing for a few reasons,One. It allows me to relieve stress or anything on my mind and keep sane. I have a journal to keep track of days for later memories and I add to it every day. I have a few experiences worth sharing as well. One of my first experiences seriously writing is when, I was in Highschool, and had to write a speech. I spent four days writing this speech. Although it wasn't what you would call outstandingly fun. The speech was for my graduation on the last day of school BSEP. BSEP was a project all seniors had to complete and pass to graduate. The drive really came out of nowhere I wasn't in a very good place emotionally. Since I was feeling kind of down I began to write songs mostly R&B and as well as Hip Hop. Writing these however doesn't require much punctuation. I write a lot of songs, and I have compiled about 30 total in the past year. I get a lot of good feedback from the people who have heard them but I am very skittish about singing in front of people. I mostly do it for self satisfaction in my own head it helps me relax. I'm also building a skill that might one day turn out to become something Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The night when everyone hopes that snow will fall and they will wake up to a garden of glistening diamonds grown by the morning sun. It was Christmas Eve. As many had hoped, snow was falling. It slowly covered the houses and streets in a thick blanket. The moon shone her silver light down on the white world, and but for one, there was nobody to view the kind of beauty that things such as love and dreams are made of. The only one there to see the spectacle was a small boy of five, or six years. This little boy possessed a beauty not of this earth, a beauty that surpassed even all that surrounded him. Finally, the little boy came to a stop, not wanting to ever take another step again. He raised his downcast eyes, and in front of him stood a church. He remembered that he had been to church before, and the building that loomed above him stirred vague memories. The boy made himself stumble a few more steps, and pressed his face to the glass door he had arrived at. He looked in, and saw the church was lit up inside. There was light coming from behind a man on a big cross, and two huge Christmas trees shone in heavenly splendor. Looking at the man on the cross, he had a faint recollection. He half–remembered, a long time ago, that someone reading from a big book had said that the man on the cross would come on Christmas. That he came every Christmas. The little boy supposed that if anyone would help him, it would be the man inside. He loved everyone. So, the little boy laid down in front of the church, and as he slipped off into sleep, a glimmer of hope, that the man would come and save him from the cold and loneliness, warmed his heart. The snow continued to fall, and bells jingled far in the distance. Presents were laid under trees, and visions of sugar plums danced in most children's heads. But not the little boy who slept on the church steps under the winter Get more content on HelpWriting.net

You can wander among kelp forests or swim with sleek noble sharks. You can find a fortune in Spanish ducats or lose yourself in the beauty of the underwater realm. Some may say though that diving is an extreme sport and that it is too risky for anyone, it's just for the wild hooligans. Scuba Diving is a safe and enjoyable hobby despite the small risk involved. Although the brain isn't the largest organ of the human body it is the most complex and controlling organ. It is amazing how complicated the brain is. The parietal lobe discriminates sensory. The occipital lobe is where visual interpretation takes place. Pons is a crossroad for nerves going up to the cortex, to the cerebellum and then down the spinal cord. The cortex is the outer gray area where thinking takes place. The olfactory cortex receives senses from the nose that it then sorts out. The area that identifies what we see by working out movements, colors, and shapes is the visual cortex. The area that receives taste senses is called gustatory cortex. The area responsible for analyzing data, performing memory functions, learning new information, forming thoughts, and making decisions is the cerebral cortex. The motor cortex is involved in muscle movement. The cerebellum is vital when carrying out complicated, skilled movements. It is much like a mini brain. I saw my cousin view the streets I grew up on as I once viewed. I saw the twinkle in her eyes that reflected innocence. • 9. Descriptive Essay About Autumn Misty dew covers the entire surface of the field. The yellowing corn stalks stand erect and proud until my grandpas tractor comes to end their growth. Autumn slowly weaves its way in and leaves a stain of brilliant color in its wake. Not everyone enjoys such colors, but when you take a second to step outside your doorstep, and look at all the wonders that surround you, you'd be surprised at how marvelous the world can truly be. To me, Autumn is a time for relishing in the colors. Soaking in the oranges and reds while sitting by a warm fire. It's a time for remembering that everything does end, but it does not have to end in the dreadful way we think it will. Autumn is a time for the closeness of others to keep out the chill of the morning and the starry–eyed darkness of the night. The colors are astonishing. No longer does green dwell the trees. It seems the entire world is on fire. The bright yellow has mingled with the orange to create small flames, flickering from the branches of trees. They fall to the ground and ignite the earth. It has been said before that fire is pure and cleans everything it touches. It takes something broken and dead and gives it one last spurt of beauty. One last goodbye before it leaves forever. The bed of the fire is a deep blue, so searing it burns any who come near. The heat makes my eyes water and stings my uncovered face. I want to get as close as possible. The grouchy people of winter also start to become happy again. Most people dislike winter as it cold and the driving condition are not great. However in spring, everything is having life, or coming back to life; as well as their spirits. Spring is finally the time where people can finally eat outside, open up the window to let fresh air in. Nothing is better than seeing the neon green trees and grass shining through the low amounts of snow that might still be left behind by Mother Nature. The farming trade also begins in spring; the farmers begin to plant their vegetables so they can harvest them when the time is right. Spring also has a very nice holiday, Easter. However, I often have trouble finishing compositions, and my English professors will often tell me I need to improve my work. Recently, I wrote a short story titled "Unexpected" for a fiction–writing class and made countless changes to the tale based on several guidelines. The revisions to "Unexpected" have benefited my story, but I could have done more to improve it. But three methods of revisions helped me better understand the changes I made to my narrative. First, I printed my original work and jotted down revisions based on 25 questions from a book I study in fiction class, What If? Writing Exercises for Fiction Writers. This aspect includes, of course, grammar, but also transitional phrases (I am not sure if those are important in a short story) as well as vocabulary. And eventually, I tweaked my composition after carefully reading my story to myself. I learned that reading your own work aloud helps you further comprehend any revisions you should make. As a result of following these revision guidelines, I improved my story dramatically; it more than tripled the word count of my story to about one thousand words. Furthermore, I usually only use PaperRater for revising fiction and nonfiction works I write for English classes. My new technique of modifying my narratives have truly expanded my stories as well as my imagination. But despite these accomplishments, I could have further improved my story. While the sky in the opposite direction was still dark, the dawn on the east side already broke. A mixture of yellow and orange on the horizon beneath a dark neon blue ocean of night had begun to peek out. It brought freedom and happiness to the mind. Beautiful flowers in reds, yellows, purples, and pinks lounged happily along the banks of small streams. Following the streams, it allowed me to hear the playful sound of the water lapping on the rocks, and the sound of leaves rustling when the wind blew gently, bringing with it a feeling of peace and tranquility. Short literary works are confined to the boundaries on length according to their specific genre; they don't have time for lengthy or slow introductions. William Faulkner's "A Rose of Emily" (p. 443) begins immediately with a startling statement about Miss Emily's death. Faulkner creates a first sentence that describes how "our whole town went to her funeral" (1), using of course the first person form of "we" (28, 43, 46, etc...) The narrator is most likely one of the townspeople who represents the point of view of the entire town. Through the use of plural first person narration, the author makes the reader feel as if though they are part of the story, grasping his or her interest more quickly. Faulkner employs this first person narration in the first sentence of his story, thus immediately capturing the reader's attention. The reader's engagement in the story also adds to its emotionality. By feeling as though he or she is a part of the story, the reader often feels sadness, joy and other emotions with the characters of the story. When the townspeople were "surprised when Homer Barron...was gone" (46), the use of "we" (46) forces the reader to feel the same confusion and shock that the townspeople do. The first person helps to enrich the variability and appeal of the short story. This use of first person to strengthen the feeling of the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
