2. • A Vehicular Area Network or VANET is a local
area network and/ or an ad-hoc network in and
around a moving vehicle. It enables devices in
and around the vehicle to communicate,
either directly connected or through wireless
protocols over the Internet. A vehicular
area network consolidates traffic from
all the various devices and routes them
over a network.
