This document provides instructions for participating in a Google Hangout, including setting up your headset and microphone, ensuring your Google+ account and profile are complete, activating the Google Hangout window and testing your camera, microphone, and sound, configuring other tools like chat, sharing your screen and a PowerPoint presentation during your turn, and yielding your time on stage by shutting down your presentation and devices.

• Create an account
and log into google.
• Ensure you upgrade
to Google+
• Complete your
profile.

• Scroll down on the
left and activate
google hangout.
• Top right
• Test that your
camera, mic and
sound are working.

• Ensure that chat is
activated.
• Turn off google+
screen and only
leave hangout open.
• Sound is distracting.

7. Your turn to take the stage
• Turn on your camera
and mic and activate
screen share.
• Click desktop and
activate your
powerpoint. Then speak
to your powerpoint.

8. Finished?
• The timer will indicate
that it is time to leave
the stage.
• Shut down powerpoint
and turn off your
camera and mic.
• Pass on the stage to the
next person.
