2. Why Symbaloo?
Symbaloo is a free, cloud-based system to organize your favorite web sites
(personal and educational), and YouTube videos. You can also add other
webmixes made by other Symbaloo users.
Overview: Symbaloo is a simple bookmarking tool like Delicious or Diijo. A
webmix is a collection of tiles about a topic. You can click the plus sign on the
top, far right to add a webmix.

3. Create Your Symbaloo Account

Use the above URL to access Symbaloo.
Type the above URL in the browser or search google for Symbaloo.
Click on “create free account.”
You will be directed to a form to register- enter the following information:
First and last name
Email address
Password then verify password
You must check the box to agree with the terms and conditions and privacy
policy for Symbaloo. The box for I don't want to miss important updates is
optional.
Click the green button: Create my account. This is the free account.

• Click on any of the above tabs on the menu bar to view the treasures
hidden behind the tiles.
• You can organize your tiles to look like this:
5. Create Your Student’s Account

Use the same directions as before to access Symbaloo.
Click on “create free account.”
You will be directed again to a form to register- enter the following
information:
Student’s First and last name, student’s Email address and a password-Use
something easy that students can remember
Verify password
You must check the box to agree with the terms and conditions and privacy
policy for Symbaloo. The box for I don't want to miss important updates is
optional.
Click the green button: Create my account.
6. Managing Your Student’s Account
• You can request a premium account for Symbaloo EDU to streamline the websites
your student’s can access.
• When student’s click on the tile it will take them directly to that website.
Remember the tiles act as a bookmark or favorite keeper.
• Decide how much you want students to know about the use of the menu tabs
above.
• Delete and add student tiles according to grade level and needs.
You will have to monitor your student’s access unless you have a premium Symbaloo
EDU account. Please visit the Symbaloo Introduction tile again to hear the information
about Symbaloo EDU.
