Fuerteventura is an island located in the Canary Islands near the coast of Africa. The island has a subtropical climate with constant warm temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius. It rarely rains and experiences calimas which blow sand from the Sahara onto the island. Fuerteventura is divided into six districts and is known for its many beautiful beaches with white sand and clear waters, making them popular spots for surfing and tourism. The island's wildlife has adapted to the arid, volcanic environment and includes both native and introduced terrestrial and flying species.

(terrestrial wildlife)
