3. Sourcing components
• You need to show that you are able to
research and collect relevant components to
complete your digital image.
• You need to acknowledge the components you
have used
• Sources can be classed as Primary or
Secondary

• Primary: This is a component you have
created or captured yourself – I.e. an
image you have taken
• Secondary: This a component you have
taken from another person I.e. An image
from Google Images
7. Copyright and Royalty free
• If you are using images off the internet you
need to also mention if they are copyright or
royalty free
• Copyright protects the rights of the
component, so it can’t be re-used without
consent.
• However we can use it in non-commercial
environment i.e. Education
8. Royalty Free
• Royalty free image means that the
owner will allow you to use the
component without the need to pay.
• You can use these website to gain
royalty free images:

9. Source table
• You need to create a source table to keep a record of
your components
• Components can consist of images, text, graphics.
• You should be filling your table out as you go along.
