Activities UNCG Speech and Hearing Center $5,000 Southeastern Symposium on Transgender Health UNCG Wellness Center $2,125 Safe Zone for UNCG Campus The Guilford Green Foundation held its Annual Granting Ceremony on Wednesday, October 14th at Studios B at The Broach in downtown Greensboro. Grants totaling almost $50,000 were made to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) groups and organizations in a five county region.
A & T University Acceptance Without Exception 2009 Counseling Services offers a variety of services to help all currently enrolled North Carolina A & T State University students address challenges and difficulties they may face. Our services are designed to help students understand themselves better, create and maintain healthy relationships, improve their academic performance and make satisfying career and life choices. Equality NC Foundation P.O. Box 28768 , Raleigh, NC 27611 2009 Equality NC is a statewide group dedicated to securing equal rights and justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. We work toward that goal by effectively lobbying the North Carolina General Assembly, executive branch, and local governments on issues like inclusive anti-bullying policies, employment discrimination, hate violence, privacy rights, sexuality education, adoption, domestic partnership, HIV/AIDS, and more. National Conference for Community and Justice of the Piedmont Triad, Inc 713 North Greene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 2009 NCCJ serves Greensboro, High Point, Guilford County and the surrounding areas of North Carolina by providing both adult and youth programming. A Board of Directors of forty-three members from across Guilford County provides program and policy guidance. The staff is made up of five employees, as well as many contracted trainers and development personnel. www.nccjtriad.org

Positive Wellness Alliance – Davidson County 400 East Center Street, Lexington, NC 27293 2009 It doesn’t matter who you are.  You may be white, black, or brown; rich, middle-class, or poor; male or female;  young or old, Christian or not, gay or straight — Anyone can be infected with HIV/AIDS. Triad Friends/Higher Ground 210 East Bessemer Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27401 2009 Triad Health Project opened the doors to Higher Ground, an adopted communal retreat and resource center for persons infected or in any way affected by HIV/AIDS. Located in a picturesque neighborhood near downtown Greensboro, Higher Ground offers hot, nutritious, family-style lunches three days a week along with support groups; educational programs; a counseling site; traditional and alternative therapies; artistic, spiritual, and therapeutic workshops; and recreational activities. www.triadhealthproject.com/higherground

Grants totaling almost $50,000 were made to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) groups and organizations in a five county region.

We work toward that goal by effectively lobbying the North Carolina General Assembly, executive branch, and local governments on issues like inclusive anti-bullying policies, employment discrimination, hate violence, privacy rights, sexuality education, adoption, domestic partnership, HIV/AIDS, and more. National Conference for Community and Justice of the Piedmont Triad, Inc 713 North Greene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 2009 NCCJ serves Greensboro, High Point, Guilford County and the surrounding areas of North Carolina by providing both adult and youth programming. A Board of Directors of forty-three members from across Guilford County provides program and policy guidance. You may be white, black, or brown; rich, middle-class, or poor; male or female;  young or old, Christian or not, gay or straight — Anyone can be infected with HIV/AIDS. Triad Friends/Higher Ground 210 East Bessemer Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27401 2009 Triad Health Project opened the doors to Higher Ground, an adopted communal retreat and resource center for persons infected or in any way affected by HIV/AIDS.
