7. Bishan Active Park What was before on the land before Bishan Active park was built? Before Bishan Active Park was built, the land there used to be an empty field. How long was the park there? The park was official opened on 24 th August 08. What is the park for? The park features a basketball court, a football pitch, a rollerblade track, and a volleyball court. It is the largest public outdoor sporting facility in Singapore housing estate, with the aim of keeping the nearby residents active.
8. Bishan Junction 8 Junction 8 is a popular heartland mall located in Bishan. The mall is a fourteen-storey complex with a six-storey office tower and a five-storey mall with two basement floors. There is a cinema at the top floor, a NTUC Supermarket and lots of Food Stalls at the basement. A wide range of choices for shopping is available in the mall. Next to the Mall is the Bishan MRT Station. It is opened in 1994, and is renovated in year 2004.

13. Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng means pavillion on the green. It was established in 1870 by majority of the immigrants from 3 prefectures, namely, the Guangzhou, Huizhou and Zhaoqing in Guangdong(Cantonese) province in China.
