The paper aims to study the effect of web based communications on the service quality of organizations. Web based communications is used for a variety of reasons. The quality of a Web-based customer support system involves the information it supplies, the service it provides, andcharacteristics of the system itself; its effectiveness is reflected by the satisfaction of its users. This paper presents the results of astudy of quality and effectiveness in Web-based customer support systems. Data from a survey of 726 Internet users were used to test theoretically expected relationships. The results of this study indicate that information and system quality determine effectiveness while service quality has no impact. Practical implications for managers and designers are offered. The Internet is the latest in a long succession of communication technologies. The goal of this work is to draw lessons from the evolution of all these services. Little attention is paid to technology as such, since that has changed radically many times. Instead, the stress is on the steady growth in volume of communication, the evolution in the type of traffic sent, the qualitative change this growth produces in how people treat communication, and the evolution of pricing. The focus is on the user, and in particular on how quality and price differentiation have been used by service providers to influenceconsumer behavior, and how consumers have reacted.

How many digital devices do you have? According to the 2014 Nielsen Digital Consumer Report, Americans now own four digital devices on average, and the average U.S. consumer spends 60 hours a week consuming content across devices. The proliferation of digital devices and platforms contributes to the media revolution and blurring traditional media definitions. As a result, consumers’ media habits are changing. Nowadays, watching TV while simultaneously using a smartphone, laptop or tablet is on the verge of becoming a majority behavior worldwide. A survey of 55,000 people by the research consultancy TNS shows that 56% of Americans engage in another digital activity when they are watching TV. The rapid adoption of a second screen has transformed the traditional TV watching experience. Instead of only watching TV, audiences now are enhancing their viewing experience by actively surfing the Web, engaging with social networks and shopping online while they are watching TV. Especially, this “multitasking” behavior is fostering a surge of real-time social media conversation between friends, fans and online communities. Facing this new trend of media usage, advertisers want to introduce socially enabled TV advertising to communicate with their target audiences. In this way, audiences could be actively interacting with ads and co-creating advertising content. To get a better understanding of how audiences think about this new form of advertising, we conducted indepth interviews in this research. The first part of this report closely examines audiences’ TV watching behaviors, social media uses and the ways that they engage with media. Then we give our analysis of primary data in detail and provide three key findings: Bonding Facilitator, Reciprocal Interaction and Hashtag Marketing. Finally, our recommendations will be offered about what could be done to further improve the engagement and the effectiveness of socially enabled TV advertising.

ABSTRACT : As media usage continues to increase on a global scale, fueled by the proliferation of mobile devices, this facilitates the effortless behavior of mediamultitasking. This paradigm shift in the way in which media is consumed presents fundamental challenges for the domains of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), education, psychology, and commerce. This technological shift introduces a new dimension that is needed when attempting to understand user interaction related to both the devices themselves andthe digital platforms accessed. This study begins a process of developing an understanding of cross-cultural media multitasking habits through a survey of a large group of experimental participants. In this study, participants from two different countries were surveyed. The countries used in this study were the USA and Portugal. This research provides valuable insights into theincreasingly common phenomenon of media multitasking and the similarities and differences between cultures when users are engaging in this activity. This study contributes to previous research in the realm of media multitasking by expanding on foundational knowledge on a global scale setting the stage for more detailed research on predictors, outcomes, and habits of global media multitasking.

Digital and Social Media: The Root of Our Existence As the list of mediated technology continues to grow, some argue that the traditional definitions of mass media and mass communication are no longer relevant in our society. Where does digital and social media fit into the scheme of things? Before we engulf ourselves in answering that question, let’s consider the state of media and mass communication today. New Media, New Considerations New considerations of what mass media are and what mass communication entails began to take shape during that later half of the 20th century. As early as the late 1960s with the development of computers, government and businesses were reaping the benefits of communicating to large amounts of people using technology and these new ways of were gaining a lot of attention. During the 1970s, computers were introduced to the individual for their own personal use and thus the revolution into new media began (Computer History Museum, n.d.). New media are those systems that have two characteristics in common--digital and interactive. While legacy media provided one-to-many communication with little to no feedback, new media are delivered in a digital format allowing the audience member to respond, often times immediately to the mediated message. These new media systems include, but are not limited to computers, the Internet, CD and DVD technology, and interactive video games. Portable and handheld media such as cell phones, smart phones, and netbooks have joined the ranks of new media providing the ability to deliver a variety of mediated messages on the go. New media provide us with the capability of interacting with media and with others in real time over large network systems. These systems have allowed us to advance personally and professionally and have even paved the way for some major accomplishments in our society. However, their introduction has left us with the seemingly impossible task of redefining mass communication. The traditional definition of mass communication introduced in chapter one does not adequately describe our media environment today. That definition focused on one-to-many communication with the possibility of limited feedback. The audience was, in essence passive. With today’s media systems the audience has, and takes advantage of, the opportunity to be active an active participant in the mass mediated process. VIDEO Given these factors some have presented new ways of looking at mass communications. Vivian (2009) describes it as a, “technology-assisted process by which messages are sent to large, faraway audiences”. This definition removes the restriction of a complex organization being the sender of the message. Biagi (2010) offers a similar definition of the concept describing mass communication as, “communication from one person or group of persons through a transmitting device (a medium) to large audiences or markets”. Still others have decided to abandon th.

The recently published educational policy document under the title ‘National Education Policy Reform’ (NEPF for short) has been the subject of much criticism. Various parties have expressed their grave concerns about this proposed NEPF on many platforms. This document attempts to cover some angles which the author deems less covered in other criticisms. This critique is by no means complete or exhaustive; rather, the author prefers that it be read in conjunction with other such criticisms.

Discover the Kisan Call Centre: Your Gateway to Agricultural Assistance KISAN CALL CENTRE In order to harness the potential of ICT in Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare launched the scheme “Kisan Call Centres” (KCCs) on January 21, 2004. Main aim of the scheme is to answer farmers’ queries on a telephone call in their own language. These call centres are working in 21 different locations in the country covering all the States and UTs. A countrywide common eleven digit Toll Free Number 1800-180-1551 has been allotted for Kisan Call Centre. This number is accessible through mobile phones and landlines of all telecom networks including private service providers. Replies to the farmers’ queries are given in 22 local languages. Kisan Call Centre services are available from 6.00 AM to 10.00 PM on all seven days of the week at each KCC location. Kisan Call Centre agents known as Farm Tele Advisors (FTAs), who are graduate or above (i.e. PG or Doctorate) in Agriculture or allied sectors (Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Poultry, Bee-Keeping, Sericulture, Aquaculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Marketing, Bio-Technology, Home Science, etc.) and possess excellent communication skills in respective local language. Queries which cannot be answered by FTAs are transferred to higher level experts. These experts are Subject Matter Specialists (SMSs) of State Departments of Agriculture (SDAs), ICAR Institutes, KVKs and State Agricultural Universities (SAUs). A Kisan Knowledge Management System (KKMS) has been developed to capture all the details of the caller and sending gist of answer given through SMS. KKMS has its independent website : http://dackkms.gov.in. The KCC, FTAs working at various KCC locations throughout the country have access to this website through their specific IDs and password provided to them. Welcome to the Kisan Call Centre - your one-stop destination for agricultural assistance and support. With dedicated team of experts and cutting-edge technology, we're here to revolutionize the way farmers access information and guidance. In this powerpoint, we delve into the world of the Kisan Call Centre, exploring how it functions, the services it offers, and the impact it has on farmers across the nation.
