• For every incident of child abuse or neglect
that gets reported, it’s estimated that two
others go unreported.
• 8 out of 10 sexual abusers are someone in
the family or someone the child knows.

8. The Problem
• Child abuse is more than bruises and
broken bones. Other types of abuse,
such as emotional abuse or child
neglect, also leave deep, long-lasting
scars. By learning common types of
abuse and where to get help, you can
make a huge difference in a child’s life.

• Child abuse is happening all around
the world.

• Child abuse effects children negatively
with academic difficulties, aggressive
behavior, bad dreams, ect.

11. How to solve child abuse!
• Some ways to stop child abuse are to
be aware of unexplained injuries,
notice a child’s fear of going home, and
notice if a child is begging for food.

12. Elimination of child abuse.
• Child Abuse has been eliminated in the
state of Vermont.
