4. Vanadium Metal
Vanadium metal is dendritic piece, which is
processed by electrolysis.
Vanadium metal is silvery white dendritic

34. Erbium Metal
Erbium metal is silver gray rare earth. It is
stable in air, however it would slowly react
with water and air. It should avoid air, oxides,
halogen, acid and moisture. At high
temperature, it compound with halogen,
oxide, nitride, carbide, silicon and form
corresponding compounds. It can process
into foil, sheet, rod, wire, powder
and sputtering target. Er ingot is of REM
99.9% by distillation method. Erbium powder
is of REM 99.9% and particle size -100mesh
and -200mesh. There are two production
methods, distillation method and reduction
method. The distilled erbium piece is
dendritic with higher purity than reduced
one.

35. Samarium Metal
Samarium metal is silvery white metal crystal,
which is available in powder, foil, rod, sheet,
granule and sputtering target. It is hard as
iron and own good ductility, but poor electric
conductivity. Sm metal is relatively stable in
dry air, however in moisture air, the surface
oxidize and forms oxide layer. Samarium
powder is soluble in water, however
insoluble in water, which tends to self ignite.
Sm metal easily compound with non-metallic
element, for example samarium
nitride, samarium hydride, samarium
boride, samarium sulfide. There are two
production methods, reduction method and
distillation method. The distilled samarium
piece is dendritic with higher purity than
reduced one.

36. Yttrium Foil
Yttrium foil is customizable according to
customers’ requirement, which is a kind
of sputtering targets. It need yttrium
metal as raw material. Yttrium foil tend to
oxidize. The package must avoid air. Except
that, it cann’t contact with acid, alkali metal,
oxidizing agent, light, moisture and so on. In
air, it forms a lay of oxide.

37. Magnesium Sulfide
Magnesium sulfide is colorless to brown crystal
powder, which is sulfide of magnesium. It is of
sodium chloride type structure and the
chemical property is similar to other ionic type
sulfide compounds as sodium sulfide, barium
