The explosion of the use of the MTA exams has exploded within academic settings. Yet, a lot of the institutions delivering the MTA are either just teaching to the exam or are being delivered by educators with a lack of experience of current industry trends. This is a ripe market where a MCT could add value. Sure, it won’t make the big bucks, but if you are between contracts it’s a great way to give back to the educational community and shape young minds! Find out why the MTA holds so much value within UK academia and how you can use the tools and resources available within the Microsoft IT Academy subscription to help educational institutions get more value from their programmes. This was delivered at the MCT Summit Europe 2013.

Explain that currently MCTs are remote-training teachers but there is a demand for more
This onlyshows the infrastructure certifications comparison. The MTA also provides training and exams for Developers and Database. The MTA has a wider remit than goes beyond making young people “job ready” – it is to teach these essential skills at school and foster creativity. To go “behind the screen” and understand why /how their devices work – and even make their own software/systems (rather than go for a vendor’s solution)
CompTIA vs. MTA: MTA is more end-to-end because its focused on relevance to the MS solutions. CompTIA is agnostic but it suffers from too much memorization for things out of context, and takes a Wikipedia like approach. (This is what one person told us. I’ve heard this sentiment echoed by some MCT’s in the US.)A large commercial partner in the US which does a lot of Cyber-security training uses the MTA Security courseware to deliver the Security+ resulting in delegates getting both the Sec+ and the MTA Sec. MTA Sec courseware was more interesting and 5 days taken off using the MTA courseware
