- 2. “ And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
He gives wisdom (AL-HIKMAH) to whom He wills, and
whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given
much good. And none will remember except those of
understanding (ULUL-AL-BAA-B).”

- 3. As in the famous Hadith of Jibra’il a.s. from which our basic beginners
(FARDHU ‘AIN ) course curriculum was based on, I would like to propose
for this module on “TAFAQQUH” this time to deeply reflect upon each
of the key aspects (terms) our Prophet Muhammad used in this
(chosen) Hadith and then elucidate their significance and wisdom
beautifully regarding Islamic teachings as a total way of life (AD-DEEN).
I believe in the consistency of our Prophet’s advice, which seminally
contain gems which are in fact beautifully elaborated upon in the rest of
the other teachings of Islam. This brings up the wisdom (AL-HIKMAH).
“… and teaching them the Book and Wisdom”-(Q: 62:2)

- 4. "I have been sent with JAWAMI’ AL-KALEEM (i.e., the shortest expression
carrying the widest meanings), and I was made victorious with awe (fear
cast into the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of
the treasures of the earth were brought to me and were put in my hand."
(Hadith reported by Bukhary)

- 5. JAWAMI'-AL-KALEEM means
(“comprehensive speech”) that Allah SWT has granted the
Prophet ability to speak in the shortest expression carrying
the widest meanings; expressions in one or two statements or
thereabouts the numerous matters that used to be written in
the books revealed before him.
This epitomizes the Wisdom (AL-HIKMAH) granted to our
Prophet Muhammad .
In this module we shall try to reflect upon the significance as in
just one Hadith – the Prophet Muhammad’s advice to a
Sahaabiy Abu Dzar al-Ghifari r.a., which we hope Allah SWT
will grant us profound understanding of the DEEN – insha-
Allah.All Rights Reserved © Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail ( 2017 ))

By analogy, ‘ship’ and the ‘sea’ invoke in our mind
:
1)a journey - which our life itself, in reality, is all about.
2)the raging sea and the depth of the ocean represent the extreme
danger which our life journey must traverse. Yet, we need the sea and its
many bounties in our journey upon it.
3)The parable of the traveller (refer to my slides), is most apt and we
should re-visit, reflect, share and insha-Allah, never forget.PREVIOUS LESSONSAll Rights Reserved © Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail ( 2017 ))

provided for mankind, which Islam teaches us to be grateful for
because it would ensure our salvation in this world and Hereafter.
