2. To start off with, I opened up a new project which consisted of 3 columns.
3. Here, I used the text box tool to create my “Features” and “Regulars” headings for each section in my contents page. I used ROCKWELL font size 20pt and a black box to go around the text. I wanted the text to stand out for my audience.
4. This here is showing you how I imported the pictures onto my contents page. Using this tool allowed me to import a picture and scale it to however I wanted.
5. Here is all of my final images on my contents page, all scaled to fit the page. All of the pictures are equal and easy to visualise.
6. I then added my page numbers onto each picture. I used the tool bar at the bottom- using Arial font and size 18pt. I used white to contrast with my pictures and for the numbers to be clearly seen by my reader.
7. I then added all of my text onto the contents page. I used ROCKWELL font for the main text in bold and for the text underneath I used a small font size in italic. I had to position them equally on my contents page as it is an important convention and it will be more clear for the reader to read.
8. This is the tool for the lines have used throughout my contents page. Here, you can rotate, flip and scale the line to however you wish.
9. Here is an example for the lines I have used in my contents page.
10. I then imported text to make a subscription box using Arial font. I used both bold and italics to show a contrast. I also included websites to show interaction for my audience. As an important convention, I put a page number at the bottom of my page.
11. Here, is the box tool to create a box of whatever size you want. You can chose any colour and also outline the box in different colours.
12. I inserted the box and decided to outline it using the tool bar at the bottom. I made the outline red to connote my music genre and also to keep my colours constant. I used 2pt- not too small but not too big.
13. Using all the techniques, I added imported a small picture of the front cover of my magazine and text for my editors letter.
15. To start off with I made the background black to connote my genre and the artist my article is based on. I then used my skills and imported my main image onto the page.
16. I made the image bleed across the page so that my image would be seen clearly and it will immediately eye-catch my reader.
17. I then decided to make my masthead bleed across my double page spread as this is an important convention of a double page spread.
18. Here I inserted my stand-first under my masthead. I made the text sound engaging for the reader as it is very important in a double spread article.
19. I then added a text box and into each column for my text to go into. This linking tool allowed my text flow into each other without cutting any text out.
20. Here is were I changed my text to 10pt- an important convention. I then copied all of my text from Microsoft Word and imported it into my linked text box.
21. Here, I added two drop quotes- which is a convention of a double page spread. This is the tool which makes the drop quote embed into your text. You simply press the drop button and click on item.
22. To make my double page spread complete, I added a by-line underneath my picture to give credit to the editor.
