Hawaii attorney, entrepreneur and mom extraordinaire Liz Stone knows how challenging it can be to
lose weight after having a baby – she has two young children. But as a dancer, actress and fitness
enthusiast, she was committed to getting back in shape and being healthy.

Opting to do more of what she loved – exercising – while helping others get in shape, she invested this
summer in a Baby Boot Camp franchise. “I always wanted to be healthy and most of all, help other
moms,” Stone says.

personalized attention, classes outdoors and tailoring classes to the moms and moms to be, are the
biggest difference from other classic fitness clubs, Stone says.
Running with strollers, working on strengthening abs, trying out yoga, and using exercise bands to
attack the fat are all part of the exercise strategy. - Whatever is nearby can become part of the exercise
routine, including park benches, polls, mall area and trees.
Adding in her own exercises and offering advice from her own experiences, Stone gives her moms the
secret to staying slim: At least 5 or 10 minutes of exercise each day and planning healthy meals.
Besides getting healthy, working out with Baby Boot Camp permits to moms to bring their babies and
toddlers into a fun, family environment. Moms and babies also make new friends, and moms can share
their stories and adventures with other parents.
Mary Ann, 29, mother of baby Mary Kate, says: “I enjoy working out with Baby Boot Camp, especially
when she (Mary Kate) sleeps. I had a good working out today.”

Stone also invite dads to participate because she believes it is important that husbands realized how
hard their wives are working to stay in shape and be healthy.
She says being healthy is a challenging task in American society where both perfect bodies and junk
food are promoted. But that only makes Stone more enthusiastic about her job: “I like teaching people
how to work out and be healthy. Iʼm grateful when we see results.”
The economic crisis hasnʼt ignored the fitness industry, and business has slowed some. “Hopefully the
economy is rebounding a bit and people realize they have more time to work out,” Stone says, noting it
is important to "Be fit. Be strong. Be together,” a motto she promotes at Baby Boot Camp.
