2. We had a LIS Hoop Champ to support
US AID to get a well!
Why is this connected to our Unit
of Inquiry?
This connects to our Unit of Inquiry because we are studying how
organizations and communities make societal choices, and
differences to effect children’s rights.
We organized ourselves to have fundraisers
so that then more people in Angola will have access to the right
to nutrition, education, sanitation, and health.
It is not likely for you to experience good health, education,
sanitation, and nutrition without access to clean water because
water is very important to nutrition .Dehydrated people cannot
absorb the nutrients in food. They will need to a tend emergency
medical care, and are more likely to die. Water wells will help
people keep clean , drink and prepare food.
People who live in clean places are less likely to get sick.

3. 1. We gave ourselves a purpose and a goal to
achieve!
2. We brain stormed super amazing ideas!
3. We made a plan.
Our plan included these activities:
• Deciding and visualizing how it would be.
• Giving each other different jobs.
• Working with our teacher to get better
ideas.
• Creating prices .
• Telling Numair what to bring, and getting
ready for the BIG DAY!
• Advertising involved creating posters,
making a blog advertisement and visiting
different classes to spread the word.

4. •We have raised 8000 KWZ!
•We Also Enjoyed the LIS Hoop Champ!
•More people at LIS are aware that people
in Angola need our help! They are also
aware of how the government and US AID
are trying to help the people of Angola have
access to fresh and clean water!

5. People had a fun time during the LIS Hoop
Champ . They also helped people have a
right they thought they would have.
This is the right to water, which helps to
be healthy . Healthier people are more
likely to benefit from education.
If we had another LIS Hoop Champ it would
be more organized and people will have
more fun. Sadly we had some troubles
during the LIS Hoop Champ. People
thought that it was not cool, and they
were complaining.
In the end we thought that the LIS Hoop
Champ was amazing and fun.
