4. Innovation in international
cooperation. Collegia
o Integrated and multidisciplinary approach to community-based
intervention; 80% of the expertise comes from the overseas partner;
o Overseas expertise has been the benefactor of previous projects;
o 20 % of expertise is provided by Collegia, especially in new or specialist
areas
o Emphasis is placed on gender, the empowerment of women, the
environment and sustainable development
o The projects aim to help communities become more resilient to climate
change, as well as improve food security, and increase entrepreneurship
and economic development
o Key areas: Fisheries and aquaculture, forestry, industrial engineering and
renewable energy, biomethanisation, water management, agriculture and
livestock production, ecotourism and adventure tourism
6. Centre for innovation in aquculture and
fisheries of Québec Merinov
(centre d’innovation de l’acquaculture et des pêches du Québec Merinov)
An example of a recent research project
The innovative development of a kite designed specifically to
provide traction for a fishing vessel, which results in the reduction
of power necessary for propulsion.
Once optimised, the system will provide a fuel economy of 20%.
For a fishing vessel this represents a saving of 20 000 litres of fuel
per year, and the emission of 50 tons less of greenhouse
gases(GHG).

8. TechnoCentre éolien (Wind Power
Centre)
Areas of endeavour
o Applied research
o Technical assistance for businesses
o Communications / Events
o Wind power and economic development
o Networking and conferences
Expertise
oOperation and maintenance (O&M) of wind farms in cold climates
and on complex terrain
oValidation, development and adaptation of technologies to cold
climates
oThe supply chain
9. Microglie (wind-diesel)
o Two 25 kW wind turbines
o Two 50 kW diesel
generators
o One 7.5 kW wind turbine
o One 15kW diesel generator
o One compressed
air storage
o One Battery storage

11. Research and transfer for sustainable development
Support for industry, institutions, organisations and benefits for
college teaching.
Innovation :Community-based support
module (Module d’aide aux collectivités)
o Make the knowledge of teachers and students available for
regional development, within an educational framework.
o Social innovation to reinforce regional development (partner-
need-teacher-student)
o Transferable and adaptable application according to the context

1 . Hello ladies and gentlemen . I would first like to thank sincerely all UNEVOC Bonn team for the invitation and the wonderful Russian team for the organization and the extraordinary welcome , thanks.
2 . I will present innovations from our four centers of research and training. We targeted innovations that we believe have good transfer potential. We hope that these innovations may spark your interest and result in transfer or exchange of expertise.
3 . The four centers are specialized in :
- education and training ;
- the study of the sea ;
- the wind ;
- population .
4 . Our first center, Collégia Group, is aimed at organizations wishing to train their workforce in developing training programs and is active internationally.
Here, innovation is the approach they use to develop training projects for vocational training centers , technical and technology transfer in countries abroad.
Indeed , they rely on a multidisciplinary approach in which local resources are put to use in more than 80 % of the project .
The projects cover topics such as sustainable development , climate change , food security , etc. .
5. In 2013, the group won the Collégia Excellence Africa prize.
6 . The innovation of aquaculture and fisheries, Quebec Merinov center, conducts several research projects concerning the sea
A first innovative project concerning research on fisheries in lockers (mainly lobster and crab ) for the development and use of alternative bait to meet a supply problem in natural baits , which are becoming more scarce and expensive . This alternative bait contributes to the sustainability of the resource and will use co-products from factories processing marine products. It was ground mussels , a diffuser placed in or mixed with the recycled gypsum in the form of wafer .
For the second research project , it is a kite that tows a fishing boat . This way, it can save up to 20% of fuel costs and greenhouse gas emissions of a fishing boat . We hope to see such kites around the world !
7 . Here the kite in action.
8 . Our research in wind is very active. We now have a large number of wind farms in our area. Solid expertise has been developed in this center and this , especially in connection with the operation of wind during the winter season when the weather is very cold. I present a project in which the combined diesel and use of wind turbines to generate energy.
9 . The innovative project involves the development of a microarray that allows to study the behavior of a hybrid wind-diesel - solar - energy storage types .
This project is intended to microarray research and technology validation in addition to being a technological showcase . It also provides an opportunity for partners to work on projects together filling their needs for research infrastructure for this type of project.
10 . Here is a picture of the proposed wind-diesel microarray.
11 . The introduction to research and sustainable development assistance center 's mission is to conduct research projects that highlight student activities directly within the course of their study program is either social sciences or sciences.
Innovation is to involve the work of a teacher, the students in his class and experts needed in a research community . In this way , students develop expertise in research and contribute to develop the community .
12 . Examples of projects by students.
13. In conclusion , we wish to exchange, share , transfer expertise with you . If you want to learn more about one or more aspects of my presentation I will be pleased to discuss with you . If necessary, we can also communicate with one or more experts in these centers during our meeting .
14. Thank you for your attention and look forward to working with you.
