George Spalding, EVP of Pink Elephant, explores the “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) trend, the opposing perspectives of staff and the company, and what BYOD means for IT people.
May want to start with non-IT example such as Cable Use some examples like New Employee On-boarding, Communications (Email, Telecom, etc.) Services are about what you DO for the customer, not what you HAVE - that would be a product catalogue. You provide a communications/connectivity service, or more specifically email. In some catalogues that appears as one component of a "desktop productivity" service. Service is what comes out of the pipe (emails) not the infrastructure to pump it (Novell, Exchange, Gmail...) Services are illusions, it's what the customer sees on their screen. The systems are the mechanisms that the magician uses to create the illusion.
