lives while growing up and still continue to be for most.in 2003 the brand had to
face the wrath of angry parents and loyal customers over the reports of worms
found in Cadbury's Dairy Milk in Maharashtra.
▸ "It was presumed that worms got into it at the storage level, but then what about
the packing - packaging was not proper or airtight, either ways it's a manufacturing
defect with unhygienic conditions or improper packaging."
▸ PepsiCo and Coca-Cola, contained toxins including pesticides that can contribute to
cancer and a breakdown of the immune system. Tested products included Coke,
Pepsi, and several other soft drinks (7Up, Mirinda, Fanta, Thums Up, Limca, Sprite),

Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954.Chickens contained nearly three times
more monosodium glutamate
▸ PETA accused KFC of cruelty towards chickens and released a video tape showing
the ill-treatment of birds in KFC's poultry farms.
▸ An apology to customers on the McDonald's website, said: "A small amount of
natural beef flavouring is added to our French fries during potato processing.
▸ The American company, which has served more than 200 billion portions of french
fries around the world, confessed to a method of using beef fat to partly fry chips
before they are sent to restaurants.

▸ Food Safety And Drug Administration (FSDA) Lucknow had collected a few
samples of Maggi noodles and sent them to Kolkata for testing.
▸ The report found traces of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) and lead content to be
beyond permissible limits.
▸ The FSDA officials said the acceptable limit of lead ranges between 0.01 ppm and
2.5 ppm and what they found was 17.2 parts per million (ppm).
▸ Vicks Action 500 Extra is a fixed-dose combination of paracetamol, phenylephrine
and caffeine, which was banned by the health ministry
▸ The product was one of 344 drug combinations are not approved by govt. & may
have serious side-effects like high toxicity or even multi-organ failure
ADVANTAGES

the MNCs enjoy over companies with operations limited to smaller region.
▸ Accesses to Labor – MNCs enjoy access to cheap labor, which is a great advantage
over other companies. A firm having operations spread across different
geographical areas can have its production unit set up in countries with cheap
labor.
▸ Taxes and Other Costs – Taxes are one of the areas where every MNC can take
advantage. Many countries offer reduced taxes on exports and imports in order to
increase their foreign exposure and international trade.

▸ Overall Development – The investment level, employment level, and income level
of the country increases due to the operation of MNC’s. Level of industrial and
economic development increases due to the growth of MNCs.
▸ Technology – The industry gets latest technology from foreign countries through
MNCs which help them improve on their technological parameter.
▸ R&D – MNCs help in improving the R&D for the economy.
▸ Exports & Imports – MNC operations also help in improving the Balance of
payment. This can be achieved by the increase in exports and decrease in the
imports.

HENCE ITS OUR NATION AND WE HAVE TO DECIDE IT🙃
THOUGH WE HAVE THESE ADVANTAGES WE HAVE MANY

MAGGI & VICKS IN DEPTH-🍝☯ ▸ Food Safety And Drug Administration (FSDA) Lucknow had collected a few samples of Maggi noodles and sent them to Kolkata for testing. ▸ The report found traces of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) and lead content to be beyond permissible limits. ▸ The FSDA officials said the acceptable limit of lead ranges between 0.01 ppm and 2.5 ppm and what they found was 17.2 parts per million (ppm). ▸ Vicks Action 500 Extra is a fixed-dose combination of paracetamol, phenylephrine and caffeine, which was banned by the health ministry ▸ The product was one of 344 drug combinations are not approved by govt. & may have serious side-effects like high toxicity or even multi-organ failure

Many countries offer reduced taxes on exports and imports in order to increase their foreign exposure and international trade.

Level of industrial and economic development increases due to the growth of MNCs. ▸ Technology – The industry gets latest technology from foreign countries through MNCs which help them improve on their technological parameter. ▸ R&D – MNCs help in improving the R&D for the economy. ▸ Exports & Imports – MNC operations also help in improving the Balance of payment. This can be achieved by the increase in exports and decrease in the imports.
