“…“…vision and roles…”vision and roles…”
• In ‘equally yoked’ dyads – multiple small studies
showed that one another’s vision for marriage and
the role that each individual in that dyad was to play
– actually scored higher in clarity than that of
individuals in unequally yoked dyads.7

What We KnowWhat We Know
We know that Knowledge is Power, so what else do we know:
- evidence-based social sciences-
“We know that the ‘equally yoked’ tend to have a higher ‘self-esteem at that-
apparently by just basing it upon their having a clearer ‘self-image’”.
“We know that the ‘equally yoked’ are more somber, sober, and serious about
‘mental health’ with less use of illegal street drugs, alcohol abuse, and
prescribed mind-altering medicines.”
“We know that the ‘equally yoked’ tend to have significantly higher levels of
marital satisfaction.”
“We know that the ‘equally yoked’ tend to have overall better quality of
marriages by the findings based upon extensive self-reporting.”
“We know that the ‘equally yoked’ tend to have more successful marriages
and also marital outcomes.”
“We know that the ‘equally yoked’ tend to live in and be distributed
throughout all financial income levels and strata of multiculturalism
“We know that the ‘equally yoked’ tend to be more apt to pursue ‘true
happiness’ for theirselves and their families.’

An ‘Equally Yoked’ DyadAn ‘Equally Yoked’ Dyad
• “An ‘equally yoked dyad may very well represent a
well balanced close relationship architecture, however,
investigators are in search of even much more...”1
• “Equally yoked couples play a major role in shaping,
attitudes, feelings, thoughts, habits and lifestyles. Researchers
describe how these close relationships effect one another and
just how important are equally yoked coupleships anyway.” 2
• “Dyadic psychologists study how an interpersonal
relationships are affected - ‘equally yoked’ and ‘unequally
yoked’ - couples alike - looking at sexual attraction, bonding
and attachment, love, marriage, and family life.”(IBID)

CompatibilityCompatibility
A growing body of evidence supports research studies
in Equallyokedtarianism that suggests:
• “Equallyoked couples have a higher degree of consensus for
marital success and improvement of individual or personal and
marital habits.” 1
A few smaller studies have now proven that:
• “In a survey Equallyokedtarian couples scored with
‘similarities’ in ‘civil identity’ as an identifying mark closely
associated with homogenous compatibility.” 2
• “Equallyokedtarian couples rated - that it - symbolizes a high
degree of social conventionality that is valued by society and
even required by some conservative societies.” 3

“…“…prior to marriage…”prior to marriage…”
• A study in social psychology investigating marital
couples - concerning after or during courting – that a
couple clearly understood the difference in a couple
being “equally yoked” or ‘unequally yoked’ and
was discussed prior to marriage. Equally yoked
scored better than unequally yoked couples.13

• Theist
– “The Equally Yoked Couple? I believe the ‘Equally
Yoked couple is a divine creation by God.” USA, 2016
• Atheist
– “I don’t believe that God had anything to do with the
sameness by, so called, ‘civil identity’ two-somes.”
• Agnostic
– “You can’t really prove God had anything to do with the
pairing off of the sexes by their ‘civil identity’.” IBID

““..teach their values..”..teach their values..”

“Many people who partake of ‘equally yoked’

uncommon for an ‘equally yoked’ couple to teach
their values to their children. Rightly so.”

TheologyTheology
• “In the critical study of the nature of the ‘divine
couple’ – the Bible teaches students of seminaries
through God’s word that the “Equally yoked” couple
is of religious truth---a reflection of the divine plan.
God’s aim was to provide a series of norms and
expectations to serve as points of reference for
couples from which salvation can be developed here
on earth. Therefore, knowing this, it is only through
God’s grace, faith, and practical experience do these
Biblical guidelines, by individual choice, lead to joy
and eternal life.”

• A New clinical study has shown that there is a
difference proportionately in cohabitation living and
common law marriages amongst equallyoked
couples compared to couples of other descriptions
i.e., unequally yoked couples.
• Finding: Fewer equallyoked couples cohabitate
• Other (smaller) studies showed that there is somewhat
more legal marriages amongst the Equallyoked

TheologyTheology • “In the critical study of the nature of the ‘divine couple’ – the Bible teaches students of seminaries through God’s word that the “Equally yoked” couple is of religious truth---a reflection of the divine plan.
