- 4. Central idea People use natural forces in practical ways. What do you think is the most practical way of using electricity?
- 5. Magnetism and Electricity We are alive because of electricity and magnetism. We are powered by them and are depending on them. We NEED electricity and magnetism. Also, electricity needs magnetism.
- 6. What are neurons? Neurons are small cells that fire electric messages to your body Neurons pass information to each other by sending the information through a synapse All of your neurons put together can conduct enough electricity to power a low wattage light bulb
- 7. What are synapses? Synapses are the gaps between neurons that let information pass between them Synapses don't have any job except for letting impulses through
- 8. What is an electrical impulse? Electrical impulses are the signals that travel in the neurons. The signals are like code. The brain interprets the code. Certain neurons get activated when we use certain parts of the brain. Even if we were alive without electricity, we couldn't have perceived the world.
- 9. What is sense perception? Sense perception is a way of knowing that you use frequently. If we see a waterfall, we know that there is a waterfall. If we touch a ball, we know that there is a ball and we are touching it.
- 10. How are our senses connected to our brain? We always use our senses. When we see an object, our eyes process it and sends an electric signal that is like code. The impulse gets fired between neurons and through synapses in the brain. Then, the brain interprets the "coded" signal.
- 11. Electricity and magnetism's connection with the brain Electricity and magnetism both work inside the brain. You need magnetism to make electricity. They are crucial in survival and a mandatory source of power.

- 13. 1. Cerebellum The cerebellum is located at the back of your head. The cerebrum is on top of the cerebellum. It controls coordination and balance.
- 14. 2. Cerebrum The cerebrum is big and it takes up lots of space in your head. It is involved in things like problem solving, thinking, remembering, and feeling. It also controls movement.
- 15. 3. Brain stem The brain stem is under your cerebrum and in front of your cerebellum. It is very important because it connects our brain to our spinal cord. It also controls automatic functions like making your lungs breathe or making your heart pump.
- 16. The process of knowing Inside of neurons, electrical impulses shoot into the gap between neurons(synapses) where the electric impulse changes to a chemical impulse(neurotransmitter) and then is sucked up by the next neuron.
- 17. How does the brain interpret electricity? The brain has to decipher the seemingly "coded" messages of electricity when the neurons shoot electric impulses in the brain. We store, use, remember, and explain what we know like what I'm doing now.
- 18. How will neuroanatomy and electricity impact the future? I think that we will have hybrids of humans and robots to sustain health, life, and memory. We might become seemingly "immortal" using technology. The technology could be used for good or bad. We might become like the stories we read; with superpowers or mechanical and powerful gadgetry.
- 19. Fear for the future There could be mechanical humanoids that follow our bidding. We could send them to war or use them on dangerous missions. You could put your brain's electrical messages into a robot creating AI. One problem is that AI could become evil or the government might make an army of super soldiers. We could become slaves in this way.
