•What does Jail Manual tell us?
Jail manual describes the rules for the superintendence and
management of prisons in Pakistan.
It is based on 1250 rules for the guidance to prisoners, police officers,
superintendents and other people related to jail administration.
If any person (prisoner or from management) violates these rules,

they are subjected to penalties or punishment.
 Jail manual is subsequently amended from time to time and adapted
by the Government of Pakistan Adaptation of Pakistan Laws Order,
1947.
