CORROSION VERSES EP
EP is a unique fluoropolyether
derivative that is forced into the
graphite.
EP will “stick” to the metal blocking
out corrosive gases and help to
prevent oxidation on the balls and
races at high temperatures. The
EP products can easily be
distinguished from our standard
product by its tacky feel and very
quiet operation.
EP is a performance enhancing
product in higher speed applications.

COBRA SOLID LUBRICANT-EPN
EPN is nano-sized particles of tungsten disulfide (IF-
WS2) suspended into the EP liquid and impregnated
into the Cobra Solid Lubricant. The nano-sized
particles attach themselves to the surfaces of the
bearing steel. Because they are very spherical and
extremely hard, they reduce surface wear, allow for
improved speed, run quiet and generally improve
performance.
Nano particles are three dimensional unlike two
dimensional platelets of Molybdenum or other EP
type chemicals. Particle size is 20 – 100 nanometers.
These spherical particles rotate and exfoliate
overlaying a mechanical bond.
High temperature resistance, high load resistance ,
low treat rate based on dispersion, and advanced
technology vs. commonly used EP additives.

FOR BEARINGS & CONVEYORS
• CSL provides continuous replenishment of graphite lubricant on all internal moving parts.
• Bearings treated with CSL spin free and are more energy efficient.
• CSL provides for a constant turning torque regardless of temperature variations.
• CSL in a bearing is stable from subzero temperatures up to 660F.
• In most applications, momentary spikes of higher temperatures will not damage CSL.
• CSL will not be washed out or adversely be affected by steam or chemical wash down.
• CSL can be used submerged in most chemicals (even mild acid or alkali) because it will not
dissolve.
• CSL will not drip out or fling.
• As a result of CSL’s innate properties, most external contaminates are restricted from entering and
damaging the bearing.
• Most external contaminates will not “stick” to the exterior of the bearing and thus, the bearing
will stay cleaner than conventional oil or grease lubricants.
• CSL exhibits very low outgassing, even at high temperatures, making it ideal for vacuum
applications.
• CSL resists deterioration due to radiation or UV.
• CSLs are non-toxic and certified as a NSF H-1 product.
• Disposal of CSL is not harmful to the environment.
• Further Considerations: Cobra Solid Lubricant EP (Enhanced Performance) and EPN (Nano) products
to inhibit corrosion, provide for a quieter performance and enhanced speeds.
