2. ALPHABET 1500 BC
Group of semantic- speaking people took the first step. This developed
in Egypt and 700 years later, the Phoenicians developed the normal
alphabet
3. TELEPHONE 1876
Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of the telephone in 1876.
He made the first call on March 10th 1876 to his assistant, Thomas
Watson.
4. PHONOGRAPH 1877
The phonograph was invented in 1877 by Thomas Edison. Edison’s
phonograph was the first to be able to produce the recorded sound. His
phonograph originally recorded sound onto a tinfoil sheet wrapped
around a rotating cylinder.
5. PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM 1885
The first film that was in a roll and flexible was made by George
Eastman in 1885. It wasn’t on synthetic, it was on paper.
6. AUDIO CASSETTES 1963
Philips invented the compact cassette medium for audio storage. This
invention allowed people to make recordings without having the level of
training or expertise required for reel-to-reel. The Cassette is a bit larger
than the credit card and a lot thicker. They store sound on a magnetic
tape wound around the two reels.
7. WORLD WIDE WEB 1991
The world wide web is an information space where documents and
other web resources are identified by links. English scientist Tim Berners-
Lee invented the world wide web
