12% increase in attendance from November to January.
Steady decline in face-to-face attendance and the feedback from the participants prompted the change in format for January.
January focused on preparing the teachers and students for a virtual day in case of snow
31% decrease in March virtual PD
112 schools participated in the January PD and only 70 finished the virtual PD in March
March really pushed the teachers
They had to reflect on their progress as a technology driven school through a discussion board
They had to develop a staff development plan for the upcoming school year and share that through a discussion board.
They had to comment on 2 posts from other schools.
65% face-to-face attendance for the 2015-16 year
May had the lowest attendance last year
As a result we are making the May meeting virtual to see if participation will increase
68% virtual PD attendance for 2015-16 year
It potentially would have been higher if we did not demand so much of our participants in March
The numbers speak for themselves
67% positive feedback for March virtual PD
Even though attendance was significantly lowers from January to March, those who did complete it were very receptive to the information that was delivered.
