3. 5th Grade
These are some homework suggestions that
you might want to give to your 5th grade
students:
O A book report about either of the following
stories:
1. Flush by: Carl Hiaasen
2. Holes by: Louis Sachar
3. Tuck Everlasting by: Natalie Babbitt
And of course other books..
4. 4th Grade
Have all your students read the same book
a month before the Winter Break, then
divide them into groups and have them work
on a project about the book they read
throughout the Winter Break.
The following books are suggestions:
O Big Friendly Giant by: Roald Dahl
O Danny and the Champion of the World by:
Roald Dahl
5. 3rd Grade
Have your 3rd grade students read any book
they like throughout the Winter Break (they
can start the book earlier) and then have
them write a summary about it.
Suggested Books:
O The Secret Seven by: Enid Blyton (any
book in the series.)
O The Famous Five by: Enid Blyton (any
book in the series.)
6. 2nd Grade
You can have your students read a short
chapter book of their choice throughout the
Winter Break.
Suggested Books:
O Junie B. Jones by Barbara Park (any book
in the series.)
7. 1st Grade
Give each student extra work on the
subjects they find difficulties.
