Introduction
Emerging trends in library and information services
models are demonstrating an increased reliance on
machines. Computers, laptops, tablets, mobile,
robotics, and other devices are replacing human
beings, not only in libraries but also in all other
walks of life.
Library services are being reshaped by machines,
and technology-based services are being adopted
in modern libraries throughout the world.

Introduction To Artificial Intelligence(AI)
The term AI was first used in 1955 by McCarthy, when preparing a
research proposal for the (US) Dartmouth Summer Research
Conference.
As per Merriam Webster dictionary, Artificial Intelligence is “a
branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of
intelligent behavior in computers”.
However, the most suitable definition is by Tredinnick (2017, p.
37), who defines AI as “a cluster of technologies and approaches
to computing focused on the ability of computers to make flexible
rational decisions in response to unpredictable environmental
conditions”.

AI can be define in the context of Library and Information Science
“AI is considered the sets of information handling tools i.e (Experts
system, NLP, Pattern recognition, robotics, Image processing, Text
mining) and process the accurate information for the information
users and manage the digital content and for the library users and
librarian what to read and not read.”

AI History
Artificial Intelligence(AI) in Libraries
Initial stages of AI have only been discussed regarding
library systems as of the late 80s. Eighties and early 90’s
saw the introduction of library automation systems and
system experts (Anderson, 1988), with AI-based service
prototypes, e.g., Cataloguing, Indexing, Reference (Bailey,
1991), as well as information retrieval to find out accurate
printed books from their respective libraries (Smith,1987;
Jones, 1991).

Big Data (BD) is use Managing Repository, Library Data storage on
Server or Clouds.

Social Media Appearance and Altmetric count of publication.
