GROWTH
Does this business have potential? Is it sustainable?
• Canada is currently turning head internationally, as it announced in 2019 that it was aiming at
welcoming over 1 million new permanent residents by 2021
• Entry to practice requirements for new Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants are set to
become much more stringent.
• Canada has announced the creation of a College of Immigration and Citizenship
Consultants, which will legitimize the profession.
• Countries that Canada typically competes with for immigrants are moving in a different direction
and restricting access (United States, United Kingdom, France, Australia, etc.).
• Canada has maintained its place as the country with the best quality of life on recent rankings
and is poised to continue to be a destination of choice for foreign nationals around the globe.
• The business’ location is not meaningful. This means that it is not impacted by the local economy
of the city or province it is based in. It is also possible to diversify operations enough to not
be affected if public opinion or interest suddenly decreases in one specific international market.
• Low cost of operations and high ticket services in a regulated profession.
