Answer
(i) On the map the distance between Bala Hisar and Fateh Darwaja is 9 cm.
On the ground, the distance between the two would be 9 × 110 = 990 metres.
(ii) On the map distance between Makai Darwaza and Fateh Darwaza = 10.5 cm
1 cm on map = 110 metres on ground
Thus, on ground, the distance between Makai Darwaza and Fateh Darwaza = 10.5 × 110 = 1155
m.
