Moulding the future:
Rural Education
Reforming
Various solution can be introduces as:
• Introducing of digital school with digital Marathi library
• Increase the child enrolment in higher education system
• Giving better platform for NGOs
• Cheap school infrastructure construction cost such as program as moladi
• Scholarship and cheap loan introduction for rural student
Maharashtra RURAL educated literates
With the rural population in Maharashtra contain 55% of population with literacy rate of 77.01% with male literacy 85.15%
and female literacy rate 64.80%. 83% of schools in the country offered primary schooling until Std. 5, 40% offered Std. 6-
8, 11% offered Std. 9 & 10 and only 6% offered Std. 11 & 12. 33% of rural households did not have any secondary school
within a 3-km distance.
It is quite so important too mould the rural education for better development of rural areas in Maharashtra. With such a low
enrolment rate from 83% in primary to 40% in secondary education. Its quite so important to look into the issue.
• 33% of rural households did not have any secondary school within a 3-km distance.
• Its essential to developed new schools for children in the rural area with taking reference from projects such as
MOLADI Construction success inAfrica.
Moladi constructions success in africa
Moladi embarked on an endeavour to develop a system to construct
durable structures of quality in the shortest possible time. This system
has developed into a construction technology that addresses seven key
challenges embodied in the low cost and affordable housing shortages
facing developing countries.
With these development Maharashtra government can cut the cost of
school development and infrastructure development needed.
Combining a re usable, patented, recyclable lightweight plastic injection
moulded formwork system, branded as Moladi we create a mould the
size of the designed house or structure and cast all the services, electrical
and plumbing, in situ using an approved lightweight aerated
mortar. Creating a cast in-situ reinforced monolithic walling system.
Eliminating chasing, beam filling, plastering and waste. The result, a fast
track cost effective, construction technology, that is earthquake proof,
approved by banks and financial institutions - "Train the unemployed to
build for the homeless".
It will decrease the unemployment rate in rural area as well by
employing rural people.
By introducing talking book
Ghana.
type of program as such in
• Literacy Bridge saves lives and improves the
livelihoods of impoverished families through
comprehensive programs that provide on-
demand access to locally relevant knowledge. At
the heart of the programs is the Talking Book –
an innovative low-cost audio computer designed
for the learning needs of illiterate populations
living in the poorest areas in the world.
Simple and actionable instructional messages
that are repeatable and can be played when
needed enable people to learn and adopt new
practices to fight poverty and disease.
The program can operate off locally available
batteries, does not rely on mobile date networks,
and it gives users the ability to listen to
messages as many times as they need and
whenever it is most convenient for them.
• Experience international educational NGOs such as:
• WISE Education qatar
• CHILD rights and you
• DOOR step school.
- Should be given much more platform.
•
•
Talking books
• One of the strengths of the Talking Book is that it does not require grid electricity, as
batteries that people are already using in their flashlights and radios will work fine in a
Talking Book. While radio programs reach many people in one live broadcast, they cannot
be replayed or shared with those who are unavailable. Mobile phone access is particularly
a problem for women as less than nine percent of the one million women in rural areas of
northern Ghana have mobile phones. In addition, those with mobile phones rarely have
network coverage in their houses or on their farms, which makes the use of voice calls
problematic.
Currently, the Talking Book Program reaches 40,000 individuals (in about 5,000
households) in 50 villages in Ghana. By working with local experts such as the Ministry
of Food andAgriculture and global organizations such as UNICEF, Literacy Bridge
ensures the message content is culturally sensitive, geographically relevant, and
appropriate.
•
Funding should be increase to the NGOs and involvement of
urban youth in NGOs with giving them special project in urban
school for better development in rural areas.
These strategies should be taken to increase the enrolment rate:
The Basic Core Strategies
•Mentoring/Tutoring : Mentoring is a one-to-one caring, supportive relationship between a mentor and a mentee that is based on trust. Tutoring, also a
one-to-one activity, focuses on academics and is an effective way to address specific needs such as reading, writing, or math competencies.
•Service Learning : Service learning connects meaningful community service experiences with academic learning. This teaching/learning method
promotes personal and social growth, career development, and civic responsibility and can be a powerful vehicle for effective school reform at all grade
levels.
•Alternative Schooling : Alternative schooling provides potential dropouts a variety of options that can lead to graduation, with programs paying special
attention to the students’individual social needs and the academic requirements for a high school diploma.
•After School Opportunities : Many schools provide after-school and summer enhancement programs that eliminate information loss and inspire interest
in a variety of areas. Such experiences are especially important for students at risk of school failure.
Early Interventions
•Early Childhood Education : Birth-to-three interventions demonstrate that providing a child educational enrichment can modify IQ. The most effective
way to reduce the number of children who will ultimately drop out is to provide the best possible classroom instruction from the beginning of their school
experience.
•Family Engagement : Research consistently finds that family involvement has a direct, positive effect on children'[s achievement and is the most accurate
predictor of a student’s success in school.
•Early Literacy Development : Early interventions to help low-achieving students recognize that focusing on reading and writing skills is the foundation
for effective learning in all subjects.
•Safe Schools
.
How can we increase the enrolment rate in rural areas?
• Making the Most of Instruction
• Professional Development : Teachers who work with youth at high risk of academic failure need to feel supported and need to have an
avenue by which they continue to develop skills, techniques, and learn about innovative strategies.
• Active Learning : When educators show students that there are different ways to learn, students find new and creative ways to solve
problems, achieve success, and become lifelong learners.
• Educational Technology : Technology offers some of the best opportunities for delivering instruction that engages students in authentic
learning, addresses multiple intelligences, and adapts to student’s learning styles.
• Individualized : A customized individual learning program for each student allows teachers flexibility with the instructional program and
extracurricular activities.
• Making the Most of the Wider Community
• Systemic Renewal : Students who come to school bring traces of a wider community; when students leave school, either before or after
graduation, they return to that community. It’s impossible to isolate “school”•within the walls of the school building. Effective efforts to keep
students in school take advantage of these links with the wider community.
• School-Community Collaboration : When all groups in a community provide collective support to the school, a strong infrastructure
sustains a caring environment where youth can thrive and achieve.

By introducing online education system in Marathi language as
well English by refereeing such as Net ease education system
and many other:
•
Set up in 2010, NetEase Online Open Courses is an online learning platform
offering free learning resources to everyone. Learners can get access to a
wide range of contents covering Humanities, Education, Arts, Technology,
Health, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Social Science, and many other fields
which are introduced from universities and organizations such as Harvard,
Stanford, Oxford, Khan Academy, BBC, TED, Coursera, etc.
By introducing reservation for rural student in urban cities
• There should more scholarship available for the rural students.
• Reservation quota should be introduces in higher education system for rural
student in urban as there is less availability of resource in rural area.
• Easy loan for the talented students in the rural area.
Digital libraries in Marathi language
• Huge amount of digital book libraries in Marathi should be introduces as more
local people are mostly populated local language as Marathi.
Better digitalization
Education should be much more on strain on economy sector of rural sector
as well such as: farming and local industry as well.
