A portfolio showcasing how I have approached a range of illustration projects, including illustrated fiction for adults, illustrated short stories for children, poetry illustration, a biblical text and much more. I am inspired by vivid language and enjoy working in acrylic, gouache, mixed media and wood engraving.
2. I’m an illustrator and writer with a particular
interest in short stories and poetry.
This portfolio showcases the full range of
my work, which is quite varied, depending
on the theme or text that I am illustrating.
I am very adaptable to the needs of a
particular project. Maybe there’s something
here that catches your eye.

14. I grew up in Devon and have lived in Buckinghamshire and
Gloucestershire. I was taught art by Peter Wickham RE and went on
to read History of Art at St John’s College, Cambridge. I later took an
MA in Printmaking and Illustration. I have exhibited with the Society
of Wood Engravers and at the RWA in Bristol, and have written,
illustrated and published several short books under the trademark
Stuchbury Editions. I was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts
in 2012. I am now seeking agents who can help me move beyond my
‘limited editions’ and market my work on a more commercial level.
