3. Chemials you are dealing with
• Are ofcourse-are Acids –Bases or Organic!
• They have high vapour pressures
• They are Flammable

4. Safety in a car

5. Safety in the lab

6. lab coats
• Can be taken off if something spills on You

7. Accidents could be from some else

8. Just like a drunken driver
• You are not always the cause-some other lab

9. Most organic molecules are tearing
agents-leave lab when feeling dizzy!

10. Also –No contact lens!!

11. No flip flops –when warmer!!
• Proper footwear is imperative-sneakers OK!

12. The labs are cold-be prepared

13. Water flow simulates air flow

14. When Some has an accident . .
• Hold out a stick . . . .

15. Get the instructor . .know location
of showers
