2.  Having conventional characters
means that the audience can
identify the structure of the
horror film and can familiarise
themselves with the characters.

3.  The protagonist will be
represented as a stereotypical
female in the horror genre to
get the viewers to sympathise
with her. She will be portrayed
as a vulnerable, lonely girl
who can’t protect herself.

4.  The antagonist will be
represented as a stereotypical
male in the horror genre, this
is to get the viewers
immediately against him. He
will be portrayed as a psycho
man incapable of love.
