◼Gordon McConnell: Vice president of ASU’s
Entrepreneurship & Innovation Group contacted Dana
Braccia: Senior Manager at Scottsdale Public Library via
Linkedin to talk about combining the free resources of
the public library with the local entrepreneurship
community.
Who Initiated this Program?
◼To give inventors, problem-solvers, and entrepreneurs a
community space where they can come together to work & learn.
The goal is the democratization of entrepreneurship.
Why was Eureka created?
Model: CoWorking Space
Partner: ASU SkySong
◼SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, is home to a
diverse business community that links technology, research,
education and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater
Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.
◼Organized around a central plaza with a signature shade
structure, SkySong is a 1.2 million-square-foot mixed-use
development located on a 42-acre campus in Scottsdale. A joint
venture among ASU, the City of Scottsdale, ASU Enterprise
Partners and the Plaza Companies, SkySong is three miles from
ASU’s research-intensive Tempe campus and 15 minutes from Sky
Harbor International Airport
