170 years ago.
 It was invented by I.K Brunel, a great British
engineer, as a mean of more quickly serving.
 The first bar to serve alcohol was installed at
The Great Western Hotel.
 It is a place which serves soft & alcoholic
beverages including draft & bottled
beer,wine,spirits & cocktails.
 The term ‘A Bar’ means a ‘specialised
counter’ on which drinks are served. It is
also the method of serving customers from
a counter.
 The “Back Bar” is a set of shelves of glasses
& bottles behind the counter.
 Wine Bar or Liquor Bar
 Cocktail Bar
 Beer Bar
 Public bar
 Lounge bar
 Sports Bar
 Night Club Bar
 Dive Bar
 Cabaret Bar
 Wine bar sell everything from Beer to Hard
