Implementation challenges
•The implementation challenges relate to many separate
product segments of the organisation.
•The implementation of any strategic development plan
for each area has to ensure that the existing structure of
the organisational division is not disturbed and change
has to intimate to the customers through promotional
activities.
•In the case of Wilkinson, strategic development plans
such as product diversification required slow change
which was initiated step by step process, to avoid
disturbance in the existing organisation structure and
also to avoid customer disorientation.
Recommendations for dealing with challenges
•The organisation should develop effective in-house
product research, design and development facilities
which can design new products for the organisation
and also improve the existing products.
•This expertise can also enable the organisation to offer
to its research and designing services to other
organisations.
•Another important challenge for managing the sale of
a large variety of products is the sale and delivery of its
products through a specialised shopping portal of the
organisation. These recommendations if implemented
by the organisation can help it to deal with challenges
faced by it.
