2. Explain OUT and IN instruction in 8086.
3. Explain mode 0 configuration in 8255.
4. What is the purpose of interrupt vector table and give few examples?
5. Distinguish between SJMP and LJMP instructions in 8051.
6. Explain how LED is interfaced to 8051 microcontroller.
7. Explain how physical address is generated in 8086.
8. Explain the difference between full duplex and half duplex serial communication.
9. What is the function of IE register in 8051?
10. Write the command word for 8259.

(b) Write a assembly language program to find the largest number for a data of size of
N. (5M)
3 (a) Draw and explain the interfacing of DAC-0800 with 8086 microprocessor using
8255. Write the program to generate square waveform. (5M)
(b) Draw the interfacing diagram for keyboard with 8086 microprocessor and write the
necessary software program. (5M)
4 (a) Explain how 8251 can be interfaced to 8086 with the help of a neat sketch and
also explain its control words. (6M)
(b) Explain the architecture of Intel 8259 with the help of a neat diagram. (4M)
5 (a) Describe the different types of data transfer and arithmetical instructions with
examples instructions in 8051 with examples. (5M)
(b) Explain the RAM structure of 8051 with the help of a neat diagram. (5M)

(b) Design a 10KHz square wave generator by using 8051 timer. Sketch the
necessary hardware and write the relevant software program. (5M)
