Module 2 discussion Metacognitive: I learned
the differences between successful students
and struggle student. It helped me
understand that multi-tasking is a bad study
habit. I learned that I need to minimize
distractions and maximize focus if I want to
success in college.
Module 3 discussion How people learn: I
understand the different level of processing
information which are shallow level and deep
processing level. I learned that the motivation or
the amount of time I will spend studying won’t
help if I do not process the information at a deep
processing level. I learned to make connection
between what I am learning and my personal
experience.

Journal entry 8: I learned that I need to stop
making excuses and never give up. I learned that I
have to commit to my goal in order to be
successful. I learned that I can always find a
solution when it gets hard.
Journal entry 13: I find out that I spend more time
doing non-important thing than I should.
Recreations activities, friends, and social media
sometimes keep me from taking purposeful
actions. If I keep using my time this way I will
reach my goal because I spend the most part of my
time in working to take care of my self and
studying for my classes.
Journal entry 17: I learned that I have to stop
procrastinating in order to be successful. I need to
create a stronger support network for myself in
college. I need to do my work ahead of time.
4. Week 4 was the week I like the most, because during that week I took the course
on financial avenue which was kind of summarizing a lot of thing that help me in
real life situation. During week 4 I have to take my midterm, by taking the
midterm I come to self evaluate and that allow me to go over again all the courses
from the beginning and have more understanding and what we have study. It
helped clear some dark spot on our course.
5. Three lessons that I will carry with you from this course into my next semesters are:
Stopping procrastinating and do my work.
Use deep processing to achieve effective learning strategies.
Never give up on my goal and always make wise choices to stay on course of my goal.

I have learned to accept full responsibility, develop emotional intelligence and believe in myself. . I
was never awarded that I had a bad time management because I always get thing done but this class
help me discover that I have a bad time management and that I was not awarded of that my time
management was bad. I have learned that I need to start seeking for help with other people when
necessary.

Two careers I am interested in are computer science teacher postsecondary, database administrators
Computer science teacher job is a growing field of job. According to the U.S bureau of labor the
projected growth from between 2014 and 2024 is 6% for the high school teacher and 9% in general.
Computer science teacher make as yearly salary between 41000 and 159000 with an average of
78000 yearly. To be a computer science teacher in high school you have to have at least a bachelor’s
degree to teach at a 2 years college but, if you want to teach a four-year college or more you will
have to have a PHD or doctor in computer science. To teach computer science you may specialize in
field of computer science such as design and function of computer or operation and research analysis.
Computer science teacher will be teaching course like programming, data structure and software
design. They evaluate and grade student’s class work, laboratory work, assignment and paper.
