My Film
Storyline- the plot to my 2-3 min short horror is centred around a teenage girl who is
walking home late from school and is unaware that she is being followed by a mysterious
dark figure that is only apparat to the audience. These will be the only row characters in the
film. The film will follow the girl with her in almost every shot until the end where she is
confronted with this mysterious figure with a close up on its face. This figure will be in
background gradually getting closer to the girl or in a new position where it appears the girl
is in great danger but does not know it. The music will be getting more intense as the film
progresses making the tense become more noticeable.
Cinematography- the opening shot of my filmwill consist of a mid-shot of the girl packing
her bag and getting ready to leave school, the camera will then pan with the girl as she
walks away down a corridor. The next shot will then be an areal of the girl walking out of the
school with a gentle music playing in the background, the camera will follow her until she
goes out of shot. As the girl reaches the school gate she will stop and check her phone to
see she has a text from her mom telling her she needs to be home quickly, whilst this is
happening the camera will firstly have a mid-shot on her as she is taking out her phone
which will then transition onto a close up onto her phone. As the girl then starts to walk
away the camera will be behind her and follow her as she is walking off down a long ally
way, as she gets to a certain distance down ally way and when she gets far enough away
from the camera a sudden loud distorting siren will play as a dark hooded figure appears
walks past the camera holding knife walking aggressively towards the girl who is unaware of
the figure behind her. The camera will follow the girl out of the alleyway onto a field with a
long shot which also picks up the dark figure which will be following behind her, the music
will have transitioned from the loud siren into some loud distressing sirens that are
consistent throughout the remainder of the film. The next shot will be of the girl walking off
the field and passing some houses with the figure now appearing out of a cul-de-sac
narrowly passing the girl who is still unaware of the figure, this will be shot by a long shot
from between the houses and cul-de-sac. The following shot will be of the girl walking past
some shops in a mid shot, as the girl walks past the camera the camera will cut to a extreme
close up on the dark figure only being able to see his eyes due to the balaclava. For the final
shot the camera will cut to black then reappear with the girl opening the door to her house,
for this there will be no music or sound effects. Then as the door opens the camera will
show a close up on the dark figure standing in the door way right in front of the girl where
there will then be a loud whining noise then the camera will then again cut to black, with
“the end” in white writing in the centre of the black screen with a loud screen to signal the
end of the film.

 Phone
 Fake knife
Audience:
My filmwill be aimed towards fans of short films and the horror genre. It will also appeal to
those who are fans of the smiling man.
Script/sound: there isn’t any words spoken in my film, however there are a lot of sound
effects such as sirens and screams. The opening will actually play some calming generic
background music until the story shifts into the intense hard sirens.
Editing: the editing will only be to include sound effects and to put up the films title and
ending on the screen. There will also be moments of just black on the screen.
Lighting: the filmwill be shot in general darkness, the film is suppose to be shot in enough
light to see the characters but not enough to see specific details on the figures face as he is
meant to be hidden.
Risk assessment: the part shot in the school should be risk free however we will need to be
cautious of other teaches and students when potentially bumping into people. The ally will
need to be checked for sharp items such as broken glass as people could fall on them. The
field could be muddy and bumpy so the cast would need to be careful not to fall. There is a
risk of people falling over from cameras of tripods.
Cast: there will only be two actors throughout, I will be on the camera and there will be
someone to help direct and with sound.
