My Dream As A Teacher
From a young age I have always wanted to teach and inspire others to learn. This was heavily
influenced by my upbringing as my dad has always taught me that you can never have too much
information and any new skill you learn is a new skill you can use. I enjoy sharing my knowledge
and learning from others. For me personally I believe that teaching is such a valuable career choice
as the devotion and passion required from teachers is what is needed to be able to deliver the best
education for the students.
I would love to teach young adults and inspire them to want to learn and find out new information
and skills and to grasp all they can while they are at school. I want my students to feel supported in
their career paths and I hope to be there to assist them achieving their dream career/job. As a
compassionate person I would like the opportunity to help kids who don't think they can be at
school and won't ever be successful to change that perspective and help them come up with plans
in how they are going to achieve what they would like. Coming from a business degree majoring
in Human Resource Management and Public Relations, it has reinforced for me my desire to
teach and/or train people. Since April 2016 I have been working with QUT as a Widening
Participation Ambassador, and this has reminded me of my career idea as a child to be a teacher in
high school as I really enjoy my job liaising with students.
My dream job is to have the ability to help and teach students about history and where we have
come from to get us to the present day. As a student I remember History being one of my
favourite subjects as I loved learning about all the facts of the past, and I would love to be able to
share our history with students. History to me shows how far we have come as a society as well
as the mistakes we've made along the way, and represents us as people today. I believe a key part
of Modern History is the recent technology progressions, and how much things have changed within
just 50 years. To teach history to students would be a great privilege.
Secondly, teaching Maths is something I enjoy, and I have helped my younger sister with Maths
over the years. Maths is one of those subjects a lot of students find

Why I Become A Teacher Essay
In Education, I feel that each and every child should be considered as a unique individual. Children
need secure, stimulating and caring atmospheres so that may grow maturely, intellectually,
physically and socially. This is one of the main reasons I have chosen to become a teacher.
Employers usually search for certain skills, qualities, talents in characteristics when looking for
potential teachers and I feel that I possess many. I am a very organized individual; I have a lot of
patience and experience in dealing with fast paced and stressful environments. I have a true passion
for teaching and children, early childhood education allows me to channel back to my childhood and
make children excited about education. I have a work ethic that does not quit and a strong
willingness to reflect. With that being said, I have a true understanding of being able to ask myself
why things went the way that they did, both on good days and bad days. The purpose of developing
an educational philosophy is that it defines the purpose and focus of an educational institution. It
typically becomes a part of the mission statement which defines which subject material is being
taught. An institutional philosophy is also able to how subjects are taught and most importantly the
values that are taught along with the subjects being covered. I feel that teaching beliefs are tied to
teaching behaviors are very minimal and as the educator becomes more experienced they become
less sensitive.

Essay on I Want to be a Teacher
Why I Want to be a Teacher
As an elementary education major, I desire to become a teacher because I would like to give back
to my community the education that has been bestowed upon me. My thoughts of becoming a
teacher become increasingly more clear daily, as I love to work with children. The children and I
seem to connect well, together. I think teaching is a part of my family's heritage as most of my
family have been teachers. Therefore, I feel teaching is the profession for me as well. If I can help
but one child achieve their goals, I will have accomplished something.
I want to be a teacher that believes in progressivism. I believe John Dewey was talking about
classrooms in the future and not only classrooms...show more content...
Some students have one set method of learning and grasping material and cannot deviate from the
method. If so, the students have a hard time handling the material. We must incorporate various
teaching styles to correlate to each student.
We need to make learning fun for students and refrain from the usual "Mom, do I really have to go
to school" kind of day to having students who are eager to learn and state "Mom, is it time for
school yet?" We as educators and teachers must strive to meet a middle ground with our students so
that all are willing to learn from the teaching process.
The five step proposal by John Dewey would be an excellent method for solving problems: become
aware of the problem, define it, propose various hypothesis to solve it, examine each consequence
and test the most likely solution.
As you observe the classroom, some students will be taking notes while others are sleeping or
talking. Students who are sleeping or talking will not learn as well as the students taking notes. We
should make our class diverse by providing various activities, projects and learning experiences
among our students. A teacher can also keep students active by reviewing and receiving feedback
about what the students already know. Then the teacher should begin their lecture as this is where
most students learn best. Afterwards, check for the students' understanding and make sure they are

My Passion As A Teacher
Me: As an Educator Becoming a teacher has always been a passion of mine. Two of my older
sisters teach young children. Seeing the joy they bring to children, helps me strive to be as good at
teaching as they are. They have shown me how important it is to be kind and loving with children.
My first–grade teacher is also part of the reason I continued to follow my dreams. She made school
fun and was always caring to all the children. She made me excited about learning and made school a
place that I felt important and safe when I missed my parents. She touched my life forever and I am
so thankful for her. Growing up, I enjoyed school and truly looked up to my teachers. I have had a

I am very positive and encouraging because I believe this helps children be more motivated to
learn and I believe it is better to reinforce positive behavior than punish negative behavior. One
disposition that I believe I have is Professional and Ethical Practices. Being respectful is always
important but especially in professional environments. My parents taught me at a young age that
respect goes a long way and it is important to always be respectful. I believe looking professional is
also very important. It is better to be over–dressed than being under–dressed. Being early is
important to me regardless of where I am going and equally important to have tasks completed
before the deadline. I also possess Interactions with Students and Effective Communication. I try
to always be fair and use a respectful and positive tone of voice, as well as show a supportive and
encouraging place for learning. Communication is always essential for any relationship, but
especially when working with children so they understand what is being asked of them. It is also
especially important when working with a coordinating teacher or supervisor to ensure everything is
planned and running smoothly. A skill that I feel is so important that I possess is being able to
comfort children and ensure they are motivated and excited to learn. Having good grades have

Why I Want to be a Teacher Essay
Why I Want to be a Teacher
School is a major part of our young lives. It is where we spend the majority of our time as
youngsters. Children begin to develop relationships with people who have not been apart of their
infancy. For someone who does not enjoy school, this could put a damper on their relationships
with others as well as their learning achievements in life. This is why I want to become a teacher. I
want to develop a learning atmosphere where children feel joy and security.
I believe that enjoying and feeling that one belongs is an important part of education. Yes, I used the
word that makes some people shiver when heard, education. Education is often viewed as an

Children are with teachers the majority of the day. Children are influenced by what they see and
why they are around. Not only are they teaching them academics, but also manners, sportsmanship,
and self worth. These are important factors that children need in everyday life. This is why a
teacher's job is so important. Most would say that teaching would be a hard job. But, I feel that it
will be easy if you win your students over. I know that the rewards in the end will out weigh the
cost. Watching a student master a new task is the reward I am after.
I have always enjoyed school. I enjoy learning new topics as well as helping others understand
those topics. I want to teach children to take an interest in school even if it is in only one subject
area. By getting them interested I hope to give them the reason they need to get up every morning
and put an effort into what they do. The more a student puts into school, the more they will get out
of it.
I have always wanted to be a parent. I am a newly wed and we plan to have children in the near
future. I feel that I will be a great parent because I helped raise my two sisters so I have background
with helping children and meeting their needs. As a future educator, I must convince students that I
care. I plan to open new doors and introduce ideas that spark interest in their souls.
In high school I was forced to pick a major my ninth grade

Being a Teacher Essay
Being a Teacher
Is your life important to you? That is a statement anyone would replay, "yes" to. As surprising as it
may seem, though, an important, successful life would not even be, without one essential element:
teachers.
Teachers, educators, instructors, mentors, or baby–sitters, whatever they may be classified as, they
are necessary for many reasons. They are foundation or our American society, they are a source of
security, and possibly the parents some never had.
They are the foundation of our American society, meaning they educate everyone. Attending school,
whether it is public, private, or home taught is mandatory in America at a certain age. Therefore, all

Those are just a few illustrations of the obligations teachers have. These should not be considered
obligations, but honors. Who would not want to be such an influential role model in others' lives?
As I begin my teaching career and the years prior to it, many ideas and decisions will take place.
Being that I plan to teach elementary school and deal with small children, I plan to be excessive on
classroom accessories. Children have a limited attention span and a dull, plain room would not be
appealing to them. The adjustment of leaving "mommy" will be hard enough for them anyway. I
hope to make the environment comforting and welcoming for them. Bright colored bulletin boards
and posters with needed information on them. I would like my students seated around the room in a
circle. From experience, I've found that children feel more at ease and apt to speak up when seated
this way.
I believe the teacher should be authoritative, especially in the lower grades. The students need to
know who is in charge and feel that there is someone of authority to look up to. Still yet, I want the
children to feel a sense of authority, to make decisions and play a leadership role. Possibly, let one
child be "leader of the day" each day; for example, lead the lines or pass out the papers.
Motivation and discipline, I view as the primary topics of educating a classroom. Children have to be
motivated, it is human
