Ideas and Strategies
“Victory is the main object in
war. If this is prolonged,
weapons are blunted and
morale is depressed”
Every company has main object and
target is to capture market share
and if fails then it can’t cope with
other competitors so easily and
employers are get depressed as a
result productivity decrease.
Sun Tzu
“Camp in high places, facing the sun. Do not heights in order
to fight so much for mountain warfare.” Sun Tzu
GRAMEEN HAS THE HIGH
NETWORK FACILITY THAT IS
THEIR SUSTAINABLE
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE; THEY
DON’T HAVE TO DEFEAT THE
OTHERS TO HOLD SUPERIOR
POSITION.
Sun Tzu gave importance in collecting information about battleground
and analyse the information perfectly before engaging in actual battle.
In Marketing a marketer also can follow
the instruction given to analyze the market
before introducing a new product or
entering into a new market.
Marlboro in Bangladesh
Sun Tzu Generally, those who reach
and occupy the battleground early
will have time to rest and wait for the
enemy. Those who arrive at the
battleground late will have to rush
into action when they are already
tired and exhausted.
Honda in Bangladesh
“Now the general is the bulwark of the
State; if the bulwark is complete at all
points; the State will be strong; if the
bulwark is defective, the State will be
weak.”
Sun Tzu
Here, General indicates Leader of a
company and bulwark refers his/her
Leadership Quality.
Daffodil Group
“Hence the saying: if you know the enemy
and know yourself, you need not fear the
result of a hundred battles. If you know
neither the enemy nor yourself, you will
success in every battle” Sun Tzu
Before entering into a market
if any company knows about
itself and it’s product and
knows about existence
company then they can get
lots of advantages.
Grameenphone / Citycell
“One must not move
troops without being
familiar with the
conditions of the
mountains, forests,
dangerous passes,
swamps and marshes
and so on”
Sun Tzu
Rin / Wheel
Sun Tzu says “ Pay strict attention to the defense.” To
defend in such circumstances, attention is needed to
locations and distributions channels.
So, if strong competitor’s
arrival can be anticipated
the preoccupy all the
strategic locations. Closely
associate all the inputs from
production to distribution
and invest in customer
relationship management.
Shwapno Retail Shop
Sun Tzu says, “Knowing the place and the time of the
coming battle, we may concentrate from the greatest
distance in order to fight.”
In marketing every company needs to
concerned and be prepared because there
is always the chance of emerging
competitor in the market. Keeping in
mind that they need to take every possible
steps to compete with their competitors.
Lay’s Chips / Kurkure Chips
Sun Tzu says, “What the ancients called a clever fighter is one who not
only wins, but excels in winning with ease.”
In marketing when a company tries to
compete with other company or wants to
defeat the company, it is important to
defeat in the easiest way.
Lux Beauty/Toilet Soap
Sun Tzu says, “Move not
unless you seen
advantage; use not your
troops unless there is
something to be gained;
fight not unless the
position is critical.”
TeleTalk
Sun Tzu says, “Hence, in the wise leader’s plans, considerations of
advantage and of disadvantage will be blended together.”
In corporate arena a skilled leader can
make advance level plans and techniques
that will facilitate the company’s target
goal.
Rubaba Dowla Gp/Airtel
Sun Tzu says, “On open ground, don’t try
to block the enemy’s way. On the ground of
intersecting highways, join hands with
your allies.”
In corporate level marketing don’t
compete against giant if possible make
bond with allies company.
TeleTalk with T&T
Sun Tzu says, “By holding out baits, he keeps him on the march;
then with a body of picked man he lies in wait for him.”
Sun Tzu says, “The clever combatant looks to the effect
of combined energy, and does not require too much from
individuals. Hence his ability to pick out the right men
and utilize combined energy.”
MUM / Acquafina
Sun Tzu says, “Next best policy is to disrupt his
alliance.”
Forming alliance is also a very
useful in global marketing.
Sony / Ericson
Sun Tzu says, “Kill with
a borrowed knife.”
Don’t need to use own
resources if a company have
an opportunity to use
other’s resource.
