I. INTRODUCTION
In the debate about the concept of sustainable tourism, transport policies often overlooked (Hoyers,
2000) although it is the most important aspect of the development of sustainable tourism. Kekhwatiran appear
on transportation planning studies that support sustainable tourism (Dubois and Ceron, 2006), the provision of
bus services on the destination is considered an important instrument to achieve sustainability objectives
(Guiver, 2012)
Transport system that serves tourism, largely neglected in terms of sustainable or environmental impact
assessment. But the process of transporting the tourists to, from, and within the destination created by the
amount of greenhouse gas emissions are high in the tourism sector (Peeters, Szimba & Duijnisveld, 2007). This
leads to the second important aspect which is reflected in the ongoing debate on sustainability in tourism. To
reduce the negative impacts of transport, tourist arrivals in space and time often associated with alternative
modes of transportation on their visits (Lumsdon, 2006). Many stakeholders in the tourist area so it takes
regional and local partnerships to include relevant stakeholders in the decision-making process (Diagle, 2008).
Tourism activities depends a lot on transportation and communication. Distance and time factors
greatly affect the willingness of people to travel. Today transport causes very rapid tourism growth once.
Progress transport facilities promote the progress of tourism and reverse the expansion that occurred in the
tourism industry can create demand for transportation that can meet the needs of travelers.
By carrying out the smart mobility concept, which emphasizes the use of modes of transport based low
noise, low emission and renewable energy source. The concept of the cable car as a mode of tourist transport is
one of the best choice but it also can be a solution to reduce the number of traffic jams. In addition to the cable
car to meet the two objectives of the concept of Smart Mobility as described by planning101blog.wordpress.com
sites that overcome the transportation problems, especially berikaitan with public transport, as well as the
integration / connectivity among a vital point of the city. Making the cable car as a liaison of all modes of
transport is a point of tourist arrivals in Purwokerto. The cable car can also help increase the attractiveness of
tourism in the tourist area Baturraden.

According to Spillane (2002), the attraction of tourism are the things that attract the attention of tourists
who owned a tourist destination. With five essential elements in the attraction, namely: (1) Attraction or things
attract the attention of tourists, (2) Facilities / facilities are required, (3) Infrastructure / infrastructure of
attractions, (4) Transportation or shipping services, and (5) Hospitality or hospitality, willingness to receive
guests. Meanwhile, according Karyono (1997), a popular tourist destination in addition must have appeal
no objects and tourist attractions, also must have three conditions appeal, namely: (1) there is
something that can be seen (something to see), (2) there is something that can be done (something to do), (3)
there is something can be purchased (something to buy).
A Yoeti in his book "Introduction to Tourism" (1985) states that a tourist attraction or a "tourist
attraction", a term more frequently used, that everything becomes daua attraction for people to visit a particular
region, while according to Nyoman S. Pendit in his book "Tourism Science" (1994) defines as a tourist
attraction everything that is worth to be visited and viewed.
In addition, the prism of travel tale tourism transportation company in the world that Thomas Coock.
Thomas is a travel agent coock largest ever in the world. Already more than 150 years Thomas Cook airport
travelers and travel all over the world there. But this time, there is information that Thomas Coock bankruptcy.
What is the cause of Thomas Cook bankrupt? As a company that specializes in travel transportation, Thomas
Coock never have innovation in transport mode so that the tourists will feel bored and appeal of Thomas Coock
it will be reduced. So will result in a decrease and if sustained will lead to bankruptcy. It is a very avoidable by
all tourism components in particular those that rely on natural beauty.

V. TOURIST MOVEMENT ISSUES IN AREA TOURISM BATURRADEN
5.1 Problems of Road Network Capacity Limitations
The road network in the tourist area Baturraden has a width that is about 5 M. Characteristics jaln
narrow and berkelak - winding. Terminal Strip Purwokerto - Baturraden Tourism Region can be reached within
± 51 minutes with a length of approximately 21 km. With the condition of the roads are narrow and berkelak -
winding and minimal street lighting when it had reached the outer region of the urban Purwokerto make the road
difficult to pass when the evenings, especially the condition of the road at the foot of Mount Slamet make this
road has a side ravine on one side of the road , However, the roadblock attempted to reduce the rate of accidents
during the journey to the tourist area Baturraden.
5.2 Connectivity public transportation to tourist areas are just using public transportation
Baturraden special
Mode of transportation that has been available only public transport special green to take tourists from
the terminal Purwokerto to tourist areas Baturraden, it will be deemed mediocre by tourists because of the
presented true of the tourist area Baturraden was a beautiful view and the cool temperatures owned tourist area
Baturraden. So that the attraction of tourists to visit the region is still low Baturraden travel. Even if there is just
to find out what's wrong and according to the observations of some tourists visiting the source is still limited to
the domestic community, whereas the potential that can be developed into a favorite tourist attraction foreign
tourists.
5.3 Travelers in exploring the tourist area Baturraden only by private transport and on foot.
In this Baturraden tourist area has diverse landscapes and ecosystems are still well preserved, making it
a beautiful sight. But tourists can simply enjoy the beauty of it on foot and driving a private vehicle to explore
the attractions Baturraden. This certainly makes the beauty Baturraden can not terekspolitasi far and thoroughly.
It would be more attractive and increase tourist satisfaction if tourists can enjoy the beauty of the tourist areas
Baturraden. Required mode of transport that can give a positive impression to tourists that can enjoy the beauty
of the area from the direction of travel Baturraden / viewpoints different from usual.
VI. SOLUTIONS AND ALTERNATIVES
6.1 Construction of connecting Cable Car Station and Area Tourism Baturraden Purwokerto.
Because that would ditonjolakan of this is a tourist area Baturraden existing scenery plateau, then it
does not complete if we were to tourist areas Baturraden using only land transport modes both personal and
special transport such as cars. Feels unable to enjoy the view widely. Cable car is a solution to these problems,
tourists are invited to enjoy the ride of Terminal Purwokerto to tourist areas Baturraden by cable car. As long as
there is no mode of transportation in Indonesia that provides cable car to get to the tourist areas.
Besides the view presented by this mode of transportation, cable car also presents the sensation of adrenaline
that feels because tourists will be invited to cross the strait in a cable car also definitely have a height and it must
be a good experience for tourists and can be an attraction for the tourist area Baturraden. It is also clear that

transport the attraction is not just to help tourists and managers to switch positions, but it can also be an
attraction it could be a characteristic that makes tourists want to visit.
The concept of a cable car which used an adaptation of the concept of the construction of a cruise ship. If the
yacht is building attractions in the modes of transport ships. However, the cable car is because of its natural
beauty and its appeal is already provided in nature, resulting in the cable car is only need to build a facility that
would increase the attractiveness and comfort of tourists who use the cable car. By prioritizing traveler
satisfaction then in enjoying the view presented by the town of Navan and tourist areas Baturraden should be
maximized and the cultures of the town of Purwokerto whether it be a culinary and arts are also in good
suguhkan in the cable car, or inside the cable car station stops terserbut.
6.2 Cable car design that can increase the tourist attraction.
Design cable car which can cover the needs of travelers in addition to the modes of transport from the
crowd in this case is Terminal Purwokerto, Purwokerto Station and Terminal Baturraden but also serve as a
place travelers Dapa start in assessing the impression of a tourist attraction. The larger size can be provided café
or facilities to support the traveler comfort while on the cable car for example by providing a small cafeteria and
free hotspots, design that is friendly to visitors as well as the children do not also remove the security of cable
carnya impression. The interior design should be attractive and create the impression of comfort such as by
installing air conditioners, chairs / sofas are comfortable as well as children seat,
The design is comfortable will disappear if ignored safety structure, by providing the Air Bag System as
mounted in the car cabin on each side of the interior of the cable car makes it possible to minimize collisions
experienced by the passengers in this case is that tourists who were in the cable car. Of course, security is not
enough from the interior only. The exterior is also worth noting.
6.3 Other vehicle selection to the attractions that can not be reached directly by Cable Car.
There are several attractions in the tourist area Baturraden that are not directly connected with the
dismissal of a cable car stop. This will be an opportunity for transportation off-road vehicles. Off-road vehicles
supplied will certainly take a different route that service to the public. With off-road vehicles that have been
provided tourists can feel different sensations that is more integrated with nature and will encourage a good
impression to the tourist area Baturraden.
An acknowledgement section may be presented after the conclusion, if desired.
VII. CONCLUSION
From the discussion above, it can be concluded to encourage the development of tourist areas
Baturraden be added attraction that would be typical in such a tourist attraction and make the town of Navan and
tourist areas Baturraden carrying the smart mobility concept that focuses on the mode of transportlow noise, low
emission and renewable energy source, By making the cable car as a mode of tourist transport that will take
travelers from Terminal Purwokerto, Station Purwokerto, as well as Terminal Baturraden leading tourist

attraction in the tourist area Baturraden expected will increase tourist satisfaction and paves the way for the
development of the town of Navan, particularly in view of the tourist area Baturraden.
In addition to increasing the level of satisfaction of tourists with an attractive interior design, cable car can be
one solution to the congestion encountered when moments of leisure and Baturraden region filled by tourists.
Indirectly cable car would be an invitation for tourists no longer need to carry a personal vehicle for cable car

Purwokerto and Terminal Baturraden to several attractions in the town of Navan and in tourist areas Baturraden
,
In addition to using the cable car, also provided off-road vehicles to provide choice to the tourists to enjoy the
beauty of the tourist areas Baturraden from different sides. Equipped with a challenging path and provided also

American Research Journal of Humanities & Social Science (ARJHSS)R) 2020 ARJHSS Journal www.arjhss.com Page | 35 transport the attraction is not just to help tourists and managers to switch positions, but it can also be an attraction it could be a characteristic that makes tourists want to visit. The concept of a cable car which used an adaptation of the concept of the construction of a cruise ship. If the yacht is building attractions in the modes of transport ships.
