WHAT IS TRAINING NEED ANALYSIS?

       Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is the
formal process of identifying the training
gap and its related training need.



       It is most often used as part of the
system development process.
Why ?
 Target-
   1. Group as a whole
   2. Individuals present in the group

 Number of trainees- Three(3)


 Methods used-
    Observation method (Group).
    Likert scale rating.
    One on one interview method (Individuals).
OBSERVATION METHOD
    Integrity- Good

    Team work- Poor

     Behavioral Attitude- Optimistic , Co-operative and Lazy
    natured.

   Skills-
 Conceptual skills – Not very clear with regard to their work.
 leadership skills-
    Task Role, Relationship Role - Good on the whole.
THE RESULTS OF THE OBSERVATION
 Integrity- ratio of 1:2

 Team work- one is dominant on others , rest
  cannot oppose on the dominant person. In the
  ratio of 1:2.

 Behavioral attitude (determination towards their
  work)- ratio of 1:2.

 Skills-
     Conceptual skills-ratio of 0:3
     leadership skills-ratio of 1:2
LIKERT SCALE RATING

The format of a typical five-level Likert item

 Strongly disagree                                       ()

 Neither agree nor disagree                              ()
 Agree                                                   ()
 Strongly agree                                          ()

               Likert Scales have the advantage that they do not expect a
simple yes / no answer from the respondent, but rather allow for degrees of
opinion, and even no opinion at all.
