There should be on-going professional development that address multiple proficiency levels in technology. Weekly lesson plans should highlight one usage of technology in instruction.
17. Recommendations Continued The IT staff member should coordinate their lessons to supplement the technology utilized in the classroom. For instance if Fourth graders are researching Texas patriots, the IT teacher should review researching tools and skills in their instruction for Fourth Grade. The IT on campus should be given time to present effective staff developments that highlight practical uses of technology in instruction.
18. Conclusion School Technology and Readiness Chart This tracking system is a way to gauge the effective utilization of technology on every Texas campus. It is effective only when the data collected is examined and utilized to make advances and changes. On-going professional development and support is imperative to successful implementation.
