1. COLLEGE CENTRES
AND MAPS
The College has two main centres where its higher education provision is delivered, in Bridgwater at Bath Road and
the Cannington Centre which is five miles from the Bridgwater Centre and caters for our land-based, sports and
services provision.
Bridgwater Centre
Our main campus, located on Bath Road is very accessible; just three miles from the M5 between the junctions
for Taunton and Burnham on Sea; it is also just a mile from Bridgwater train station which is on the main line from
Bristol to Exeter.
Cannington Centre
The Cannington Centre was known for many years as Cannington College, which was established in 1921 and had a
long-standing reputation as one of the key providers in the land-based education sector.

4. TRAVELLING TO COLLEGE
Our main campus, located on Bath Road is very accessible; just three miles from the M5 between the junctions
for Taunton and Burnham on Sea; it is also just a mile from Bridgwater train station which is on the main line from
Bristol to Exeter.
If you cycle to College, secure your bike with a good D lock and use the cycle racks provided.
If travelling by car…
If you do need to drive please car-share if possible as there is limited parking space available.
The College centres are very busy and are used by people of all ages. Everyone is expected to drive and park safely
and with care.
When approaching and leaving College, please drive carefully and show respect for our neighbours.
We are unable to take responsibility for any theft or damage that may occur to a car parked in college car parks.
Wheel clamps are used on College sites.
Parking
Car parking is currently free and available at all sites but is limited and often full at peak periods. See the site maps
on the College website for locations of car parks.
Please do not park in residential areas close to both Bridgwater and Cannington sites. This parking is for the
residents and we would appreciate your co-operation with not using these places to park.
Travelling by bus
Full time students may be entitled to a subsidised bus pass. Please enquire at Student Support for more information
on this.
Bus passes last for one year only. If you are returning to College for a second year you will need to re-apply. Forms
are available from Student Support. Full timetables are also available from Student Support or alternatively on the
First Group Bus’s website http://www.firstgroup.com/
Travelling by train
As the main Bridgwater site is just 1 mile from Bridgwater railway station you may wish to travel to College via train.
Timetables for the trains can be found on the website www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk
