Program Overview Program Goal: To increase the visions, motivation & implementing capacity of South Asians to establish collaborative cross-border relationships that will contribute to conflict transformation, sustainable peace, and increased development. Paula Green, EdDProfessor of conflict transformation at the SIT Graduate Institute; Founder-director of Conflict Transformation Across Cultures (CONTACT) programs: the Summer Peacebuilding Program, USA, the Graduate Certificate, on line and the CONTACT South Asia, that takes place in Kathmandu, Nepal in December.
5. Kevin Clements, PhD Director of the National Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at Otago University in New Zealand. He was a professor of Peace and Conflict Studies and the Director of the Australian Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of QueenslandHis publications include: From Right to Left in Development Theory; Peace, Culture and Society: Trans National Research Perspectives; Peace and Security in the Asia Pacific Region, and Building International Community.
6. Tatsushi Arai, PhD Associate Professor of Conflict Transformation at the SIT Graduate Institute, His most recent activities include field research in Pakistan and public speaking and dialogues aimed at transforming the underlying discourse of the war on terror in the West, as well as the growing networks of organized militancy in the Afghan-Pakistan context. Tats also serves as a dialogue facilitator of Strait Talk, a series of semi-annual conflict resolution dialogues aimed at fostering a new generation of peacebuilders from Taiwan, Mainland China, and the United States
7. Juan Diaz Armando, PhD Lecturer at the University of Kent (Brussels), European School of Public Policy (Erfurt), and the Hertie School of Governance (Berlin)Co-founder of CSSProject for Integrative mediation working in South Eastern Europe. Has been teaching with CONTACT for the past three years.
