Technology Integration Organizational Chart Dominic Barone – EDLD 5352, EA-1208
Superintendent Oversees the day-to-day operations of the school district. Deputy-Superintendent Oversees the development and  implementation of the district curriculum  and day-to-day operations of the school  district as directed by the superintendent. Assistant  Superintendent of  Elementary Education Oversees the implementation of the district curriculum and day-to-day  operations of all elementary campuses.  Campus  Technology  Integration  Specialist Serves as a liaison  between the local  campuses and the  technology department Elementary Campus  Administrator Oversees the campus’s use of  technology and integration into the curriculum with respect to the  campus’s overall mission and vision. Campus Teacher Responsible for following the  districts curriculum scope and  sequence. Technology Integration Organizational Chart—Elementary Campus Chief Technology Officer Oversees day-to-day technology  operations department for the entire school district  Assistant  Superintendent of  Curriculum & Instruction Oversees the development  of the district curriculum.  Director of  Instructional  Technology Oversees the  integration of technology into the curriculum and classroom instruction. Director of  Systems &  Operations Oversees the  district’s technology  infrastructure.  Curriculum &  Instructional  Coordinators Responsible for creating and  developing technology instruction and applications in the curriculum and then translating them to the campus level.
Technology Integration Organizational Chart—Elementary Campus Cont… Campus Administrator's Role in Monitoring and Implementing the Organizational Chart The campus administrator must ensure that the curriculum is being implemented and  classroom instructions is focused on the district’s required scope and sequence. The campus administrator must ensure that technology is being integrated into all  content areas. The campus administrator will utilize and analyze all data sources available; AEIS,  AYP, District Benchmarks, and the Texas Campus and Teacher STaR Chart. The campus administrator will incorporate a technology focus into the campus budget  discussion.
Technology Integration Professional Development—Elem. Campus  Self-evaluations Walk-throughs conducted by principal District Science Benchmark results Classroom Teachers District Science Coach 3 classroom science teachers selected by campus principal   Provide teachers with additional training on how to use and apply available technology resources for improved science instruction Technology Integration in Science Self-evaluations Walk-throughs conducted by principal District Language Arts Benchmark results Classroom Teachers Campus Literacy Coach 3 classroom language arts  teachers selected by campus principal   Provide teachers with additional training on how to use and apply available technology resources for improved language arts instruction Technology Integration in Language Arts Self-evaluations Walk-throughs conducted by principal District Math Benchmark results Classroom Teachers District Math Coach 3 classroom math teachers selected by campus principal   Provide teachers with additional training on how to use and apply available technology resources for improved mathematics instruction Technology Integration in Mathematics Self-evaluation Future student projects Classroom Teacher Campus Technology Integration Specialist Librarian Provide teachers with additional training on creating research projects through available library and internet resources Technology Research Opportunities Self-evaluation Walk-throughs conducted by principal Classroom Teachers Campus Technology Integration Specialist   Provide teachers with additional training on how to use and maximize currently available campus Available Technology Tools for the Classroom           EVALUATION AUDIENCE PRESENTERS PURPOSE OBJECTIVE
Technology Integration Professional Development—Elem. Campus Cont… Following my review of our campus STaR Chart, I noted that my campus is in need of additional training in the area of teacher preparation and professional development.  The objectives identified in the technology integration professional development plan will allow for more discussion and practice with technology in the classroom.  This outlined plan is based on my campus’s current needs.  There should be ongoing evaluation as the school year progresses of both student and teacher needs by campus administration, the technology integration specialist, and the site-based decision making committee, to further evaluate the effectiveness of the professional development plan.  Evaluation and self-reflection on each objective is key to determining the success of the proposed and future professional development experiences.
Technology Integration Evaluation—Elementary Campus There should be ongoing evaluation as the school year progresses of both student  and teacher needs by campus administration, the technology integration specialist,  and the site-based decision making committee, to further evaluate the effectiveness  of the professional development plan.  The site-based decision making committee, in particular, should on an annual basis  re-evaluate the professional development plan and make recommend changes based  on the school district and campus improvement plans.  The principal is the key to a successful evaluation process.  As the campus  administrator, the principal should lead by example and take on a leading role in the  professional development process.
